I appreciate your work on this 4010S. I just had a supply reel start spinning freely so my question is are the felt pads available? I have a 4010SL but they're basically the same. I haven't taken the front off as it just happened 30 mins ago so I came straight to KZread and found this video. My Teac has been idle for awhile but it has performed great over the years. I also have a working Teac X-7R in great shape. Thanks again for your posting this video.

Bob, Excellent video. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and expertise. I am working on a TEAC 4010S and have several of these restoration / service issues to overcome. Did you happen to replace any of the motor / power capacitors in the chassis? Thanks again!

Have a TEAC 4010 that for unknown reason all I get currently is a hissing sound and no audio. Service manual referred to checking S2 switch. Any ideas?
