Bigg Matt think you could give me some quick advice on fixing one of these? I got the same deck from a friend's dad after he passed, he wanted me to have it. I did a lot of work on it and got it going but it always had no record inputs on channels 1 and 2. I have been using 3 and 4 for about 2 years and now channel 3 is out so I can't do any recording. Any guidance you could send my way would be GREATLY appreciated!

@@KoolAidBuzz Assuming the record lights come on when you're innrecord mode, try these steps: 1. Make sure all the heads are super clean. 2. Work the TAPE/SOURCE switches back n forth a few dozen times (monitor the recordings as you're doing so to check for a poor connection) 3. Try demagnetizing the heads.

@@5thcomm Thanks for the assist, much appreciated. Just as you said right away, the lights are all out except for channel 4. I probably should have mentioned that. It plays excellent, the tape path gets cleaned and demagnetized regularly. And the last channel that does record still works fine too. I'm just stuck with what to look for next. Thanks again.
