Te Whānau a Apanui | 2013 Te Matatini | Finals Day Full Performance
Музыка
2nd place Te Whānau a Apanui at the 2013 Te Matatini Finals Day (formerly known as Aotearoa Traditional Māori Performing Arts Festival) held at Rotorua International Stadium in Rotorua (Te Arawa).
All rights go to Whakaata Māori and Te Matatini.
A traditional kapa haka performance, usually called a bracket, consists of 6 or 7 items.
Groups have the option to perform a Waiata Tira, which is non-aggregate and does not count toward the final scores and placings, as a well as 6 aggregate compulsory items - whakaeke, mōteatea, poi, waiata a ringa, haka, and whakawātea.
Waiata Tira: choral item (optional - non-aggregate)
Whakaeke: entrance - entering the stage
Moteatea, waiata tawhito; traditional waiata, lament
Waiata ā ringa: action song - a song with appropriate actions to kupu (words)
Poi: item performed with poi actions, usually by wāhine (women)
Haka: a haka where the tāne (men) come up front
Whakawātea: exit - exiting the stage
Items from Te Whānau a Apanui 2013 Finals Day.

Why exactly? The true credit should go to Rikirangi Gage. He's the one who created it. Melody and all... Rob Ruha just performs it, alongside the Kapa itself.
He pai te kite i a Maori Pakeha ahakoa te ahua, e waiata ana, e whakangau ana I te Iwi Maori me nga Iwi o te ao. Ataahua🌹
Im here March 2024..why? This slayer performance by Jeff Ruha..Tihaa!!
am from Samoa and I love listening to Maori when singing and their dances, our poly brothers and sisters.
Legit - get it done...work is work...performance is energy and the honesty of oneself. Support is...Amazing - no more, anything. AMEN.
Omg thank you thank you thank you A long time ago I was desperately searching for this waiata tira and gave up ❤
Absolutely fantastic my favorite

thanks Haka Bro - Never 4get this performance
Jeff Ruha. Vicious moves bro
Reminds me of the time when I was a young kid and we visited a performance like that (like here at 5:35), and the guy jumped off of the stage and ran right at me (with his speed !!!). We sat way down the hall, in one of the last rows. I let out a shriek and threw myself down in between the seat rows. I did not know that it was part of the show. I took it seriously and thought that the guy went amock. Afterward, I felt so stupid.

it aint sus he was portraying an ancestor called Tama-te-kapua who was known to be cheeky, mischief, ladies man and had a big dick, hence why he was holding the taiaha like it was his dick
the Taiaha was mean
