This song is a Tuvaluan song, sung by a group called TeVaka, a Tokelaun/NewZealand band, in honor of the 19 lives that were lost in a boarding school in Tuvalu. A young girl was studying at night. She fell asleep and left her candle still lit. Because there are so many mosquitoes, they slept in mosquito nets which then unfortunately got caught on fire from the candle. The school was locked up and boarded for protection and to separate the boys and girls, preventing the girls from escaping their dorms. 18 young girls and 1 teacher died. R.I.L💜❤🕊

19 girls lost their lives at Motufoua Secondary boarding school, Vaitupu Is, Tuvalu back at 2000. Someone studied late at night and forgot to blow out candle setting whole dormitory on fire. Few got out but not the 18 girls and their matron. What a tragedy, shock the whole nations and beyond the Pacific. I graduated 3 years earlier, what a sad. Love the music, keep rockin!!
