My family has connections to old Hollywood. My aunt, Jan Bradley actually plays the crazy old lady in Legion. She knew Sharon Tate and lived just down the hill from her in Benedict Canyon when it happened. She always said Sharon was one of the sweetest people she ever met, and she was always moved to tears when she talked about her. The story is just so sad and unfortunate, and the fact there's people still out there proudly claiming they are part of family need to be locked up right next to Charlie. Nobody deserves to have their life taken away, and their were taken in the most brutal and horrific way. They did not die instantly either, they suffered. Sharon even begged for Susan Atkins to cut her baby out so it would have a chance surviving the attack. She replied, "I can't show you any mercy." That's just fucking horrible. Who could do that? Scum.

@@CaptainSpalding72 This is among the least gruesome articles, but it confirms this detail of the death and burial of Sharon Tate and her baby. That is unless you have special insider knowledge, which I am not dismissing. After all the internet is vast and you can be Sharon Tate's cousin, for all I know. However, barring that- that is the official burial location of the baby- in Sharon's coffin.

I was born September 18 1966 and me and my mom dad and 2 sisters and 2 brothers were living in and around the greater Los Angeles area about 15 minutes away from the Sharon Tate house in 1969. My dad was a chief boatswain mate in the Navy at that time. Such a very SAD and SCARY time to be living in California in that time period.

What a great and respectful video .. This tragic case has a special resonance with me too , I was a 2 day old baby when the murders happened at Cielo Drive . Baby Paul would therefore have been a few days or weeks younger than me and Sharon was born the same year as my mother . I am now 51 and my Mother is 77 and it is heart breaking that Sharon and Paul's lives were cut short in such an evil way . There was no motive , they were just in the wrong place at the wrong time . RIP to Sharon , Paul and the other victims of the Manson Family . Five people died in total that night and another two , a married couple , the La Biancas died the next night .

There was also speculation that Manson and his minions were actually after Doris Day's son, Terry Melcher and his girlfriend at the time, Candace Bergen. They had been renting the same house before Sharon Tate and Roman Polanski. Melcher was a music producer who had a brief interest in Manson's music when they were all friends with members of the Beach Boys. Melcher later rejected helping Manson with his music career... and well we know how that panned out. Wrong place at the wrong time for Shaon Tate and friends. :(

Susan Atkins actually said that Charles knew that Terry did not live there anymore but that he and Tex knew the house diagram so they chose it because of that. Remember they wanted to start helter sketler a race war and not be discovered. Its just Atkins that ran her mouth and that's why they were caught.

  • @petmomful2260

Yeah, I read that as well. Charlie had actually gone to the Melcher house and a guy working in the yard had told him that Terry Melcher did not live there anymore. I also read that Mama Cass and her boyfriend lived near the LaBianca house, and the Manson family were wandering around that neighborhood the next night. They did not want to go to Mama Cass's house because they had connections, they had bought drugs from her boyfriend. So they just picked a house nearby, the LaBianca house.

Hello my birthday friend. Most people don't know this,.........but Susan Atkins didn't murder Sharon Tate. Originally Atkins bragged about killing her, but she was lying. Tex Watson killed Sharon Tate. Near death, Atkins said that no person died by her hand. Tex Watson said that was the truth. I just watched him make that confession before coming to this video. Susan Atkins was a little more of a 'bad girl' than Krenwinkel or Van Houten. She was a topless lounge dancer. That somewhat explains why she lied about killing Sharon. she was street wise and cocky, so she wanted credit as a badge of honor ,.....so to speak. Van houten was voted homecoming queen her senior year in high school. She was considered to be good looking, she was very intelligent and her family was very loving,.......they were upper middle class people. She had great parents and all that she could want. That makes it more difficult to understand how and why Van Houten went the way of evil. There was nothing to indicate she was capable. Patricia Krenwinkel was from a good family as well. Patricia Krenwinkel was outside near her home on a nice summer day. A man came along in a car, and told her she looked unhappy. He asked her to come with him, but she didn't move. Then the guy, Charles Manson,........ drove up the road about half a block and stopped again. He looked back at Patricia, and yelled to her. He said if you're going with me you better hurry up,........this is your last chance. She hesitated briefly, then made the horrific blunder of a lifetime. She said if Manson had not stopped the 2nd time and yelled to her, she wouldn't have been caught up in this horror movie. She was one second from good, and another second from evil. She went with her emotions instead of her common sense. Another interesting fact that most don't know about; Manson had been at the Cielo drive house visiting Terry Melcher 2 or 3 times in 1968. They had a music connection of sorts. Only one month or so before the murders, Manson got fired up angry thinking about Melcher ignoring him. Manson went to see Melcher by himself. He didn't realize that Melcher had moved out. Manson was wandering around on the property, and he came face to face with an 8 month pregnant Sharon Tate. Sharon was startled when she saw Manson, he arrived unannounced and looked very scruffy. She said he was very 'creepy' and made her very nervous and uncomfortable. Sharon abruptly ordered him off the property. As Manson was leaving the property he began planning another visit. That was in July, 1969. The day she met Manson was the day her fate was decided. I'm sorry I was so long. Maybe you can forgive me since we're birthday twins. I wish you peace and love , God bless you honey.

regardless of who you are, please never take your safety for granted. even a luxurious Hollywood mansion in a safe area can be a death trap, especially after hours, don't take anything for granted, lock your doors and windows, close the blinds or curtains, where possible make your movements random to anyone potentially watching you and rely on what security you can and be nice to your neighbours, they will often help you when you least suspect.

I too have been very interested in this case. So very sad! You have inspired me though, Adam. I live just south of Salt Lake City (but I grew up just outside Seattle, WA). Since moving here to Utah, I have been documenting many of the famous graves in the Salt Lake City cemetery (yes, most of them are Mormon). You have inspired me to remember those who have passed on before is. I am going back home for Labor Day this year. When I go back, I am going to honor Bruce Lee and Jimi Hendrix. Adam, if you would like me to, I can tag you on Twitter when I complete the video, if you are interested in watching it at all.

Catching up on my TDW videos. Thanks for this. I've always been interested in this story (sad and gruesome). I did go to Celio drive once but you cannot see anything due to the hills and gates and the landscape. I didn't know the house was bulldozed. Makes sense thou. RIP to those whose lives were cut short in such sinister circumstances.

She was more beautiful as a woman for what she lived for and what she stood for and what she died for that any of her beauty on the outside. You have to know Sharon on the inside to understand her and that’s the beauty she wants to be remembered for. How beautiful she was on the inside and what made her the woman she was with her values and heart for other people her family for being a mother and a wife.

Adam your great! my grandparents and many aunts and uncles are buried there at Holy Cross. I also live in Richland Washington where Sharon Tate is from. I live just a couple blocks from the house Sharon grew up in. I have also worked with her cousin. I have suggested to you before to make a road trip here to Richland Washington, alot of history, its one of the places they built the bomb for WWII that dropped on Japan, home to the "Manhattan Project". you can tour the facility at Hanford Nuclear Reservation where the bomb was built.

Incredibly interesting stuff and he could give you ideas for future video locations because he knows alot of awesome little not so well known locations in relation to all sorts of movies/tv shows/music and ALOT of death scenes.
