(TBT 2007) Irv Gotti & Ja Rule were about to create tracks for Ja's then upcoming Album "The Mirror"

Музыка

I just took the most exciting excerpts with Ja Rule outta "Gotti's Way Season 1" for the fans out there! They were about to create the singles "300" and "Body". #MurderInc #Mpire #DefJam #JaRule
I do not own the rights for these interviews and video footage, I'm just a Murder Inc fan who wanna share lost music and footages from his favourite artists.

I wouldn’t say “saved” Def Jam. He assisted in some major acquisitions. One being DMX. But Def Jam had many of multi-platinum artists and labels on their roster, e.g. Roc-a-fella, Case, 112, Foxy Brown, Montell Jordan, Musiq Soul Child, Christian Millian, and Dru Hill just to name a few. I’ll give majority of that credit to Kevin Liles before handing it all to Irv.

@@OCRTBS Def Jam was on the verge off being taken away from Lyor Cohen & Russell Simmons y Polygram until Irv Gotti brought DMX to the table. This was all confirmed on the Murder Inc Documentary that can be seen on BET. All the names mentioned on here confirmed it. Irv Gotti was the one that brought Jay-Z to Kevin Liles and it was Irv Gotti that picked out Ain't No as a single.

Dope vid! The fact is Murda Inc was a great R&B label and a terrible rap label. Irv didn't put the right MC's around Ja. You have to protect your hit maker. The Lox had DMX back. State Property had Jay's back. Who had Ja's back? Charlie Baltimore, Tah, Vita, and Black Child? 🤷🏾‍♂️ That wasn't enough to stop GUnit. I blame Irv respectfully.

True. Irv did the most fucked up thing to let Ja diss Em & Dre for no reason. I put the entire blame on Irv for Ja's downfall. Why the fuck would any sane person go against Dre & Em. Admit Inc were more popular but Aftermath were more respected. Ppl turned on the Inc for starting unnecessary beef and trying to be like Pac. They hit them back ugly.

Murder Inc was a beast at it time. One of the biggest selling Rap labels in 2000. But they made some big mistakes. Ja being so big at the time and making so many hit made beef with big names like 50 cent, Eminem, Dr.Dre, DMX, Busta Rhymes. Maybe has to do with him trying to immitate Pac who so many beefs as well. Also when Prime was arrested & the feds thaught they had to do with his activity.
