On my OpenTX version (just upgraded it to 2.3.4 from what I was using in the video 2.3.3RC1), I hold down the transmitter "SYS" button to get to Radio setup Menu. Then on the transmitter, us the 2nd black button on the left (the middle one--Page button) and click it twice. Mine then shows the Tools Page. One of the options on this page is "Crossfire Configure." Hope this helps

  • @TMacFPV

    @TMacFPV

    4 жыл бұрын

    Highlighted comment Hey Shantanu Bhede ! Have you updated your Crossfire module using Agent X also? What type of LED lights are showing on your receiver (red, slow flashing green, fast green, etc.)? It should be blinking a slow green for binding mode. After updating module firmware, if it still does not work, try "Short-pressing" the bind button once to get it into bind mode (slow green flashing LED). If this still does not work, you may need to put receiver into "recovery mode." This is not a big deal. You just need to hold the bind button while you plug in the battery. When doing this, it should start blinking green rapidly (this is still not bind mode). Release the button and press it again for a few seconds. It should then start blinking green slowly (this is bind mode). Hope this helps! Le t me know how it works for you

    Did you upgrade to the crossfire because of poor range from the jumper t16? I'm having random drop out with my t16 was considering going with Crossfire.

  • @TMacFPV

    @TMacFPV

    4 жыл бұрын

    Hey eldabo1000! I did not upgrade to Crossfire due to poor range of the T16. I did not find the T16 to be any worse (or better) than any other 2.4 ghz transmitter range-wise. Rather I upgraded to Crossfire simply due to the inherent advantages of using the 900Mhz band over that of the 2.4 Ghz band. Yes, longer range for same power output is one of those advantages. The advantage I find more useful is the better penetration ability of the 900 mhz band over that of the 2.4 ghz band. This means you can flu through and around objects (like trees, your house, etc.) without losing your control signal. I originally started with the FrSky R9 system. used it for awhile. Had a couple "failsafes" with it in some high-interference locations. That, combined with FrSky changing protocols often over the past 1-2 years, I decided to go with Crossfire instead. Crossfire has a "self-healing" capability (meaning it will change power and frequency automatically to maintain your control signal) if it encounters a "weak signal condition." Since I have switched to Crossfire, I no longer worry at all about my control signal. Now, limiting factors for me are battery life and VTX signal. Hope this helps.

  • @TMacFPV

    @TMacFPV

    4 жыл бұрын

    If you need to run 1 or 2 watts (most people do not at 900mhz) you're gonna want to power the Crossfire module with an external battery mist likely. Also, I'd recommend you check your government's rules regarding output power restrictions. Not all places authorize output power greater than 1 watt. I'm a thumber and changed my stick ends to umbrella type. It's final stick ends should be good for both Pinchers and thumbers, however, if you have a specific need you can easily replace them with what you want for just a few dollars (USD)

    Ahh, thanks for your reply mystery! I can give you my experience. I too was thinking as you are now. Knowing the Micro at 100mw was usually more than enough (I also thought I read somewhere within the past few months it could go to 200mw, but I'm unable to find that now--maybe in a comment on my TBS video?). I actually chose the TBS Lite module (to have the extra capacity available should I want /need it). I'd rather have the ability vshould I need it than not have it if/when I do. Having said that, I've never used it above 100mw (to save on battery life). Still use the transmitter battery. But for an additional $75 over the Micro module, for me, it was worth the peace of mind knowing I've got more capability if ever needed.

    Still get no stick inputs in betaflight from following this to the letter. My diversity nano receiver binds to and is configurable from the transmitter no problem but no inputs in betaflight. My FC is a Lumenier Lux F7 ultimate. I don't believe the FC is the problem because I tested it with a FrSky XM+ receiver and got stick inputs just fine. I don't have motors installed to the SC yet, so I don't know if that is relevant, but it didn't seem to be with my other receiver and I can't imagine it would be in any case. 🤔Hey Dank FPV! First time I've heard of this issue and haven't experienced it myself. So, the only thing I can offer is some suggestions of what to try. Carefully check (don't bend pins in module bay) to make sure your Crossfire module is fully connected (locked in) to pins in module bay (might not be fully seated?). Make sure you have updated firmware on your Crossfire module and OpenTX firmware. Have you followed the checklist provided in this video's description? You can grab it here: tmacfpv.com/tbs-crossfire-setup/

    New sub here ! I have a question on behalf of a friend. He recently upgraded to crossfire and has an issue I've never seen. After binding his nano RX, the RX does not appear in the Lua script. Only the tx. Although...it's bound and works. He needs to setup his RSSI/LQ channel but cannot since he cannot access the nano RX in Lua script. He's using the micro Tx so he has no user interface like I do on my TX lite module. Do you have any idea why the RX will not appear in Lua script ? He's tried it on multiple radios while moving the module from radio to radio. He's rebound, and reloaded updates just to be safe. Still not appearing. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thx RCIng in SC.

    Hey RCing in SC! Wish I had a definitive answer for you and your friend. I do not. Only thing I can recommend is to retrace proper steps. Ensure latest OpenTX with LUA scripts is installed properly. Ensure Crossfire module is updated through TBS AgentX. Ensure when looking for Nano RX in Lua script that the receiver is powered ON (you won't see it unless the receiver is powered ON). Not sure if you/friend of already tried it or not but here's the link to the checklist that goes along with the video: tmacfpv.com/tbs-crossfire-setup/ Hope one of these things helps!

    @TMac can I run my Crossfire on 2W in my T16 without mods?

    With 100mW you can go 15 km per TBS Crossfire manual. Not sure why you'd want to use 2W, however, Jumper T16 fully supports Crossfire. Under Tools, crossfire Configure, if you leave your "Region" to "Open", you can then change your max power to 2W. Of course, its up to you to know and obey the laws, rules, & regulations of transmit power and frequency within the region you're flying. For 2W you'll need to run it off external battery. You can download the crossfire manual on the TBS site.

    @@TMacFPV You can run 2 W off the normal power in line. Im just not sure if the t16 could sustain that.

    @@aeryofpv oh, so what you're asking is can the T16 actually do what it's designed to do with XF at Max power. You'll need someone who has used it at Max power or willing to test it at Max power to see if it damages the radio. I have not tried it, I have no reason to believe it won't work, however I have no desire to test it since I'll never use it at Max power.
