Definitely like this trim on the 39, i grabbed one of the camel bone variants and lucky to have no proud tip on the spey thankfully.

I was thinking about picking up the one in blue micarta but i have the old sheffield jack already.

Very nice! These were the best of the 39, along with the rendezvous knife, in my opinion.

i got a tascosa lockback thinking it was bigger. ended up being my favorite knife of all time a real "paddy potato peeler".... but it locks!

GEC makes its first Mini Trapper! That one looks fantastic. With you all the way about proud tips and blade rap - this is basic knife geometry and you expect it to be correct on any knife, let alone one at this level.

How hard can it be to have a check list for a well made knife? No blade rap; no proud tip; no gaps; center blade; check shield; check fit and finish. If this were a new company you might be forgiving for failing on some of these issues. But this is a well established company that is making the same mistakes over and over again. What does this say about their quality control department? I'd rather give my money to Rough Ryder or Rosecraft.

i hat GEC. you can only get them from resellers for only ten times the listed price. skip it and pay ten times the money for a better knife. they aren’t great. i have one in 1095 and it came with a burnt edge, i sharpened it back and there’s no heat treat, it bends. skip this brand!
