Trvor has hosted shows before, including his own. Jo Koy is a very funny stand up comedian and was asked to host the show only weeks before the broadcast. Past hosts of shows, like Whoopie and Steve Martin, have said it is not an easy job and you need more time for preparation. You must "read the room". I think because Jo Koy was unfamiliar to most of the crowd and he had to rely on writers for his monologue, the jokes were hit and miss. He did his best, if Miss Swift is as kind and generous as everyone says, she should've just went along with it. Look at what the magacult is doing to her and Kelce. Way more harsher than a mild joke.

I saw this live. Was scared for Taylor that the jokes were going to be awful and cutting. A glimpse of her face looked tense -- wondering how these jokes would end. When his intent was clear AND FUNNY she laughed. Can't help but think she also was relieved. Success is a double-edged sword. Taylor's sword is more hexagonal.
