I confess that I knew him a few years ago thanks to his productions for Taylor, but then I began to investigate more in his productions and he is WONDERFUL. His work on bleachers, melodrama, NFR, Gaslighter, obviously on Taylor's albums and others is simply exquisite. And I think the fact that he is such an exclusive producer and doesn't work with just anyone makes his work even a thousand times more valuable. I love him.
it’s always a pleasure to witness jack’s brain being picked and even a better to witness people who share the same passion have a conversation. loved hearing this so much!
Jack Antonoff and Pensado's Place is a legendary combination. I'm excited and grateful this took place.
He is a genius

Haha Feel like that's the most used comment on his videos
Will always watch anytime Jack is talking about production. He always tries to give specific, thought out answers, and I almost always walk away with something pretty useful.
the most talented, versatile, incredible producer alive... everything he touches becomes magical and heartwrenching and anthemic, I adore him💙

why doesn't everyone in the nba just dunk the basketball, its so much easier to score that way 😂🤣
I don’t know how he isn’t more well known. Masseduction was a work of art!
So cool. Thanks. For some reason, I feel better after experiencing this conversation. Maybe the takeaway is that it's ok to feel like you're in the wilderness, lost and alone. Others have felt that way too.
1:06:19 great words, so true!!!!! Thanks to Jack as one of the biggest artists of our time to share so much about his art
Love what you said at the end, Dave. Eye could really feel the heart in your words. God Bless.
I loved that. Spoken like a songwriter. Alot of gold in this and every episode of course !
Jack Antonoff is probably the most underrated producer. So many other producers get so much fame for no reason, Jack has real talent.
Pure Gold ! Thank you so much for this!
Thanks Dave and Herb for all that you do. Another fantastic episode. Keep up the great work !
Some stuff in here I really needed to hear...it’s been a hard year to stay creative and inspired. Thanks for the work you do and for sharing these insightful and meaningful conversations
One of my absolute heroes!!! Jack's songwriting is incredible. I heard an interview from Sara Bareilles talking about how she wrote "Brave" with him and it was so awesome!
so grateful for pensados place!
I've learned a lot from watching these types of videos. It's so refreshing to see them talking about their passions with not much time limit.
Amazing show, thank you guys!
Jack antonoff : The man
I'm not even a hard fan but I love how he's blowing up. He's amazingly talented and anything he touches is a blessing to your ears- even if you don't like the song that much
Amazing! One of the most inspiring producers out there right now
Very excited for this one amazing conversation
1) You two are changing a lot of aspiring musicians/mixers/engineers lives for the better, thank you!! 2) Please please please have Rostam & David Longstreth (Dirty Projectors) on the show! :-)
This guy really has his finger on the pulse of music, very genuine

Best podcast ever. I love u guys! Thanks!
He's very talented, i've seen a few people dislike his production in some of Taylor Swift's songs, I don't know why, i think what he has created with Taylor is among the best in her catalogue, the fact that he has worked in the most acclaimed albums by Lorde, Taylor and Lana del Rey tells you something and I love how Taylor calls him "music family"
So happy for this 👐
inspiring, makes me feel better :)
never seen this podcast and i'm not even a fan of Jack but wow this was amazing, so refreshing! very inspired to go do some recording. thanks!
Great interview!
great interview
Pensado’s Place - a proper music show - great presenters Dave and Herb
my jersey king!!!
So excited for this episode! Jack is one of my favorite producers of all time. Thanks for all you do Dave and Herb!
what an inspirational guy!
Jack is so interesting. I feel like he'd be a great regular guest cuz he's so in the moment and off the cuff, but everything he says really cuts to the core of what he's trying to do.
'Folklore' is a really good project! the songwriting is definitely top tier as always with her. Taylor just has something special that not many have. magic! #Swifty
absolute legend
I love Dave and herb so much
my king!!!
This is such a great show! Also, be sure to check out Jack's free sample packs. Some real gold in there!

Does anyone know which plugin Jack was referring to when he mentioned the plugin "Black Spring"? There is an AVID black spring reverb plugin for $4.99 - might that be the one? 1:03:42

Those who watched the whole time, does he talk about lana or lorde?
@cavemanintheair
3 жыл бұрын
Not specifically or by name
the fact that I cannot read his name without giggling shows I am not mature enough to be a successful producer... LOL
I loved the interview but give the man some damn respect he's not Taylor Swifts producer, he producers for so many other making artists including himself. GET YOUR CLICK BATE TITLE OUT OF HERE
excuse me? he's jack antonoff! yes he produces for taylor but also for lana del rey, lorde, etc. put His name first smh have some respect 😑

Is the ant on/off?
Thanks for sharing! If you have a minute, I posted a cover of Billie Eilish. As a fellow music fan, I'd love if you would check it out. It's on my page. Hope you enjoy!
Nice try Anton 😏
This guy seems super interesting & intelligent. After this I was excited to go listen to his music. I couldn't believe how completely predictable & generic the Bleachers songs were.. wtf?? I don't like to put anything down but I'm baffled rn. Wouldn't those songs make his inspo Brian Eno want to puke?

Hmmm, interesting. Your opinion though obviously. His production on songs like don't take the money is pure genius. Maybe listen to some of the stuff he's written for other artists, it's very different to the bleachers stuff.
Herb is so subliminally disrespectful and negligent of his partner, and it’s sad how much it shows. Makes me not want to watch anymore.
