The reed should be on the bottom and the key wholes should be on the top. Left hand on top and right hand on the bottom. Make sure the ligature isn’t too far up or down, make sure the ligature isn’t too tight or loose, make sure the reed is wet, have enough mouth piece, and don’t use a chipped reed bc it sounds worse
