This mv is ridiculously slept on. This is a masterpiece y'all; the cinematography is so amazing and it stays true to her storytelling ability as if we are watching a movie. She said in an interview that the number one feeling she had in her relationship with Harry was anxiety, that's why she keeps repeating the same line in the chorus, the mv depicted her anxiety so well. This deserves more love.

@@hsjn7957 I think she wants to say, that he (Harry) realised what he lost after they broke up. They had public relationship, but they were happy and it didn’t matter what other people were thinking. They were jealous of their luck and happy, lovely life. (World is black and white, but we were screaming colors). A polaroid is a moment put into a picture and when you look at them, you feel the exactly same feelings again. Its like looking back, what you had. I am not sure, but those are my thoughts 😅🙈

At 63 I am now a Swiftie. Taylor's generosity during her US tour (donations to food banks and the bonuses given to crew) got me hooked and the Era's movie sealed the deal. 'Out Of The Woods' is probably one of Taylor Swift's most emotionally intense song. I could strongly feel her pain, anguish, angst, sorrow, and dejection in this song. I was actually quite disappointed that this song did not fare as well as her other singles from her '1989' album. It's 2022 and I am still listening to this. I wonder who else is still listening to this.

I like that the video represents conflict within herself about a relationship. She throws the necklace showing that she wants to free herself from a toxic situation yet reaches for it as it flies because she wants to believe things will work out. The wolves represent self doubt and nature represents aspects of the relationship where there were beautiful moments that quickly turned into nightmares.

That sounds good, the chorus to me is she describes the "woods" is conflict in the relationship and she is waiting for the time the conflict subsides so they can be on decent terms again. One of my favourite songs on this great album.

Actually ethologists know wolves aren't a danger for adult human beings, and I think this fits perfectly with "the monsters turned out to be just trees". She felt chased by them, but they weren't gonna hurt them, as is showed later in the vid when she sits close to them.

What I took from the music video is that at the start Taylor was perfectly fine with herself looking at the ocean like a huge world of oppurtunity before her. Then a tiny little branch (I'm assuming this is someone she loves) comes sneaking behind her to only remind her that she has so many unresolved issues. This music video is literally the saying "the only way out is through".I think this journey just symbolizes all the obstacles Taylor had to go through like dealing with the media (the wolves) and her desire for a fairytale romance (throwing away the necklace) and her ex/memories that just never seems to leave her alone (the branches). Then shit really hit the fan for her (her falling so many times during the fire and ice scenes) but each time she gets up and she looks more and more confident each time. The scene where she is among the wolves is like she's not scared of what the media thinks of her anymore and that could also symbolize her squad of friends backing her up. Then she ends up finding herself going through all of that realizing she didn't need a boy to fulfill her because she already was already everything in the beginning. Or i'm just really drunk from this wine... HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

Taylor should make an visual album with Joseph Kahn.

The last scene of two Taylors with one of her having long dress and beautiful means she was naive, making herself believe that the relationship wasn't bad at all, that there were some beautiful parts in it, but looking back, it's not necessarily the case. The Taylor wearing a dress being short and muddy is a realization that it's not necessarily beautiful but it's real and she has learned from the past, making her wiser and more genuine with her feelings.

This music video is exactly what having an eating disorder feels like, a constant struggle. Taylor used to have one during 1989 era, and I used to over 20 years ago. Thankfully the final scenes are what it feels like to be free of it forever 🙏❤‍🩹
