I think it's actually a reference to 'The Story of Us', an older song. I don't think the Gracie Abrams song was written yet.

@@philipnewey usually albums get written quite early if they want a vinyl release (like album needs to be submitted months in advance), so us almost would have been written by then. (Fun fact lover was done by February 25, but released August 23, 6 months later)

Gracie Abrams and Taylor wrote a song together called "us.", it's on Gracie's album which came out the same day as the bts, even tho we knew about the collab sometime earlier cause of the tracklist. They wrote it in November like at 2-6am, they also had to put out fire, there is a video of Taylor fighting with the fire and/with the fire extinguisher, as well as them composing one of the parts of the song, you should check it out, as well as the song. The song is really good, you can tell that Taylor was involved in the writing. Also, I am wondering if there's a second part coming at any point because we haven't seen anything from the later scenes in the laboratory, phone box or the tornado and stuff.

He's a southern gentleman. He's always been known for the yes ma'am, yes sir. No ma'am, no sir. He like the most polite celeb there is.

at the end i think she says "i'm going into the editing now" like the editing process of the video and post calling taylor ma'am is so real cause a) if i had met someone that influential and famous, i'd call them ma'am and sir b) he was also just trying to be polite cause he's a polite guy and c) she is older than him by a few years so it only makes sense

Not many men would respect a female director and songwriter. He’s being extremely polite and respectful to her. To me, it’s incredibly genuine and beautiful. It shows just how much he cares about this person and project.
