That's what you're supposed to do. If you keep going, even just singing la la la, you remember the words faster. If you stop, it's harder to remember the words because your brain isn't thinking about it.

@@kellyanderson7624 first of all its my opinion so I'll think it is right and you know Taylor has paused many times during a performance....so being a fan of her I think it depends upon the situation and who said that mumbling is good or right.At the end it's peoples opinion and you are no one to tell us that anything is right or not.Don't impose your opinion .I don't think that we are suppose to mumble cuz it makes the performance more messy....

@@meanm1289 If I'm not mistaken, the speech about the trial and her singing clean were on two different nights. Miss Americana kinda implies that they were on the same night, but if I'm not mistaken, that's not the case. It was mostly due to the editing, I think that they felt the Clean performance would fit the situation well. I don't know the exact dates of which one though, so I might be wrong, but I remember reading about people's experience in the shows every night + seeing videos of snippets of performances and I remember distinctly that they weren't on the same date. Might be worth be looking into bc I'm not 100% sure.

she still performs so confidently when she forgets the lyrics that unless you're a die hard fan, you wouldn't know she's singing the wrong words. It just so happens that most of Taylor's fans are die hard fans and we know all her songs from every era by heart 😂

It's her fault for making so many songs and making them so great and not generic. 😂

@Toxic Butch actually I was thinking about it and she probably re-wrote the song and edited it and fine-tune the words that she probably remembers one of the versions and doesn’t necessarily know if that was the final cut version and we’ve only heard the final cut version so it’s easier for us to memorize the words than for her because she is so involved in the writing
