To avoid any confusion... "The 1989 World Tour" is just the name of the tour. This performance happened in 2015, as it is stated in the description and on the video itself (0:13). Why is that the name? Taylor named her fifth studio album, "1989", after her year of birth, therefore, that was the name given to her forth headlining tour, in support of this album. I heard that performers actually get addicted to that. It gives you some kind of rush, the crowd cheering and all. And some of them want to keep chasing that rush, so when they get off stage and they go back to their everyday lives, they're just so meh because it's a night and day difference. That's how a lot of them pick up drugs.
