Another great reaction! In terms of understanding Swift’s work, it can be helpful to know that sometimes, particularly during the Reputation era, she’s playing a character. I believe that in “Don’t Blame Me” she may well be doing that. She’s the character, portrayed by the media and some of the people who don’t like her, of the crazy, love-obsessed, responsibility-abdicating girl. Of course, at least part of it might be from the heart. (You can never be 100% sure with her. 😉)

I THINK 🤔 this is my favorite song!!!!!

I gotta be honest, when I first heard the studio version Don't Blame Me, I wasn't really vibing that hard with it. I mean, it was a good song and I didn't dislike it, but it wasn't my favorite. The MOMENT I saw this performance, it instantly made my top 3 Taylor songs of all time. The production in the live version goes HARDDDDDDDDD and she does way more with the vocals at the end. I hope Taylor's version beefs up the production and that she adds a couple more of the big belty notes. Either way, this song is so freaking epic, and I admit that I was a dummy for not liking it to its fullest potential at first. Also, the entire Rep Tour is honestly insane. Another one that I wasn't crazy about before watching it was Getaway Car. Not sure if you've reacted to that one yet or not, but the live version is spectacular. The energy just pulsates through your body, especially when the electric guitars start coming through.

I have not done getaway car yet. Still new the whole Swiftie Nation so keep all the recommendations coming Back to this reaction. I was kind of the same. Studio version did not really do it for me but the live version is the favorite out of the 5 live performances I have done of hers.

So the albums music videos have very futuristic elements that they included in the wardrobe on tour, so a lot of the outfits are like alien/ futuristic armor. A lot of headpieces and capes

I would highly recommend the Look What You Made Me Do music video. This iconic video is essential to the T.S. “canon”. In order to really appreciate the video (and, actually, quite a few songs on the Reputation album), you need context. Bare minimum, you need to know that Kanye West released a highly edited phone call between him and Swift that made her look like a liar who was publicly attacking him for the sake of publicity. A heavy online and media backlash ensued that appeared to cancel Swift. The release of the song LWYMMD, and accompanying video, announced her comeback. Also good to know that, as part of the backlash, Kim Kardashian called T.S. a “snake”, causing thousands of people to bombard Swift’s social media with snake emojis. (Sounds a bit silly/not a big deal but, within the larger context of everything that was going on, it was cruel.)

So damn good!! Great reaction, and so glad you loved it!

The dancers are dressed as dancers. Usually what a dancer looks like is a dancer.

I've never seen anyone guess abt the dancer costume in this performance but I think they're supposed to be cobras (since the rep era is represented by the snake) but stylized so they look like a religious costume

imo, I believe the backup dancers are wearing a type of steampunk styled outfits, I do know that the dancers and tour were very much influenced by snake 🐍 patterns and textures. I think they are heavy on the red/black/snake color schemes.

Being the cheeky genius she is, every album since then has hidden and sometimes not so hidden references to snakes. In the eras tour, the crowd’s light up bracelets are synchronized in a pattern that shows a snake “slithering” around the arena with certain sections. There is zero limit to her skill and talent she puts into every tiny aspect of her music.
