It is a wonderful speech and I think she did an absolutely fantastic job...but, those things in front of her are teleprompters. She didn't have to memorize the whole speech.

Umm her dad literally brought a share of her label when she started. She did not grow up middle class. She was PA rich. Which is not the same as Cali or NY rich.

I just love her. My daughter became a fan when she was about 11 and Taylor was a teenager singing online.

I am not a Taylor fan by any means. But to all her detractors who clearly think they know better, let's watch them succeed and leave their mark in the way that she has. I am a retired lawyer in my early 50s. I reached financial independence in my mid 40s. If I had has someone impart such wisdom onto me when I graduated I suspect I would have done even better. Go Taylor...

You must be doing something right if you can "retire" in your early fifties. And then do what? Play golf? The "retired" people I admire are the ones who do something constructive later in life. Not just live on a pension.

I'm graduating high school in 6 hours now and this is very helpful for me especially as someone who listens to her music in order to go through hard parts of my life. Thanks for always inspiring me Taylor

She is very smart, genius, and also very humble. Even though in 2016, kanye west and his wife kim kardashian tried to bring down his reputation, but she used it as a lesson to keep growing. Back Scooter Braun is selling her album, like TS said, focus on what you're doing, don't focus on people who try to put you down.

Great job. The only such speech I saw was at NYU, when Bill Cosby's first line was: "Now. Go get a job! " , and was hilarious. But this was just fine, and I don't even listen to Taylor's music much if at all, so I was grateful to get to know her, and she's a lovely, smart girl. Kudos.

Sorry I will always luv her … she is the best person when it comes to personality.

Taylor Swift never went to college, but she just got an honorary doctorate degree in the fine arts from NYU. Basically it’s a BS degree that she was awarded to stroke her ego and bring publicity to the college.

She loves being cryptic with her fans and has a thing for numbers, I wouldn't be surprised if she was asked in previous years by multiple universities to do commencement but chose to wait until '22 to finally do it. And another thing, I think most people graduate college when they're 22 years old! That's if they attend college right out of high school and finish their degrees in the expected 4 years. Even more evidence that she chose to wait for this year.

She's so inspiring for young musician like me, I started learning Guitar and PIano and Songwriting because of Taylor Swift music.
