Jeff Featherstone Personally, I think that changing the pronouns to suit the orientation of the person covering the song can take away from the integrity of certain songs. It works for some songs in my opinion, but in this one it would sound forced.

I think that with Vance, his voice sounds nervous which is how people get when they're confessing to a crush. Taylor's version is more confident, which sounds like she's already with the person. So, both versions represent a different stage in a relationship.

I know Taylor will probably never read this, but this gave me the chills and made my day, just the way she is so focused and having fun. It is so raw, and the song is already wonderful. She just added something that sent a chill through my spine.

I wish Taylor was my girlfriend as well... Yes, she's SO cute, and especially when and how she smiles at that part. Bc she doesn't seem to be "performing'. She seems to be caught up in , and lost in what she is feeling. She's brave enough to not fake it, or worry about being vunerable and honest and open . And she doesn't take herself too seriously. And I am thinking that likely follows in other aspects too. (So, good in bed. Actually connects and doesn't just fake/ put on a show) And good here too!!!
