Yes you are absolutely right. I have been asking myself lately, Am I crazy or do people just not care moral standards anymore? I’ve been a tax preparer for 7 years and I have never seen fraud like this… people are so bold and open about getting these ERC loans that they don’t even qualify for.

Here is a scam i keep getting: A caller named 'Jessica' calls and leaves voicemail claiming she is with "National Tax Advisory Services LLC". She says I owe the IRS money (I don't), and they can get it "squashed with a new deal in which it becomes uncollectible". I have gotten this voicemail several times this year. Someone should go after or investigate these scammers.

question for you. We got a ltr 14c that we did not request. The customer service phone number does not match any numbers that are on the irs website. We have been trying to call the real irs ein number all day and have been on hold all day. the 833 number on the letter comes up no where in a phone number search. Sounds obviously fraudulent. Have you any word on 147c pshing scams. They have the ein correct but it is from an acct closed 25 years ago.

I claim the recovery rebate like I was supposed to and they auto adjusted my refund to remove it

They basically stole 1400 dollars from me and there aint shit i can do i tried calling them three days in a row to get hung up on and they only give u 30 days to make an appeal

Is this a scam? An accountant in New Jersey is having ALL his Clients pay back their Stimulus Money, starting at paying $500 this year. He the Stimulus Check was only a Loan and MUST be paid back...

Ghost preparers are so bad. I feel bad for those that get audited with no understanding of their return and then they can't prove it's someone else's fault. They might get lucky and the examiner could waive penalties at least.
