Aseity is the property, if you can call it that, of being uncreated and lacking an origin. So, when we talk about God being ase we mean that he has no origin and is eternal without beginning or dependence on another thing but self dependent.

If I remember correctly, Jake seems to take issue with Khalil's conception of the divine will, since it apparently negates God's being a free agent (fāʿil muẖtār) - in a libertarian sense, I presume; but how does the former's own position secure divine free will? I mean, under Jake's (Taymiyyan) temporal conception of - and ascription of distinct contingent wills to - God, the latter's foreknowledge would mean that He pre-eternally knew what He was going to will - and consequently do - at any given point in time _t¹_ .He would thus have to will/act according to that foreknowledge, but if He were to do otherwise (and supposing He didn't change His mind about what to do at _t¹_ ), He wouldn't be omniscient. It's been a while since I watched this debate, so I'm not sure if Khalil brought this point up.

Great job Khalil. Even though you are not Christian and I am not Muslim, I respect your views. In the other hand Jake keeps on showing his arrogance and ignorance. I never respect this guy even tough he repents and comes back to Christianity.

Yes, it's true. Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei, Singapore and Thailand as the majority of Muslims in the world are Ash'aris. There's no such thing as Neo-Pseudo-Salafi (Wahhabi, Athari) thing. Wahhabi is a deviant offshoot of Sunni.

They only say "we dont know how God descends with movement" That is to say only God knows how. The Hanbalis i.e. Atharis also never did Tafwid of the meaning as Andani claims, but they only did Tafwid of the howness. The Hanbalis were somewhat divided whether the Throne becomes vacant when God does descend. Most Athaaris hold it doesnt become vacant. So according to them God descends literally to the lowest heaven, while He also stays above His Throne. So then He is at 2 places at the same time. I am surprised that Andani didnt question the hadith about descending since the hadith mentions that God does this in the last third of the night. We know now that it is on earth always somewhere "last third of the night" This hadith could only logically make sense if everywhere at the same time it was "last third of the night".

Qur'an is logical false because the whole Qur'an relay on the Bible mentioning Abraham,Moses,JESUS CHRIST. God is one beyond all duality and multiplicity. God does not have intellect as something distinct from His Essence otherwise that would lead to the duality between Intellect, Intellecter, and Intelligible within God - which is impossible. God transcends the realm of Intellect, Soul, and Matter. God is the originator of intellects, souls, and bodies.

[قول الإمام مالك في إثبات استواء الله على عرشه] قال المصنف رحمه الله تعالى: [وحدثنا أبو الحسن بن أبي إسحاق المدني حدثنا أحمد بن الخضر أبو الحسن الشافعي حدثنا شاذان حدثنا ابن مخلد بن يزيد القهستاني حدثنا جعفر بن ميمون قال: سئل مالك بن أنس رحمه الله عن قوله تعالى: {الرَّحْمَنُ عَلَى الْعَرْشِ اسْتَوَى} [طه:٥]، كيف استوى؟ قال: الاستواء غير مجهول، والكيف غير معقول، والإيمان به واجب، والسؤال عنه بدعة، وما أراك إلا ضالاً، وأمر به أن يخرج من مجلسه]. هذه المقالة ثابتة عن الإمام مالك رحمه الله نقلها المؤلف رحمه الله بالسند، أن مالكاً رحمه الله جاءه سائل وهو في مجلس التحديث يحدث الناس في المسجد، فقال: يا مالك! (الرَّحْمَنُ عَلَى الْعَرْشِ اسْتَوَى) كيف استوى؟ فأطرق مالك كما جاء في رواية أخرى وسكت ملياً، ثم علته الرحضاء (العرق) ثم رفع رأسه، وقال: أين السائل؟ فقال: الاستواء معلوم، والكيف مجهول، والإيمان به واجب، والسؤال عنه بدعة، وما أراك إلا رجل سوء ثم أمر به أن يخرج من مجلسه. المؤلف ذكر القول بهذا اللفظ: كيف استوى؟ قال: الاستواء غير مجهول، ومعناه: أنه معلوم باللغة العربية، وفي اللفظ الآخر أنه قال: الاستواء معلوم، أي: معلوم معناه. (والكيف غير معقول) وفي اللفظ الآخر قال: (والكيف مجهول) وغير معقول يساوي مجهول، وغير مجهول يساوي معلوم، فقوله: (الاستواء غير مجهول) أي: معلوم، والكيف غير معقول، أي: مجهول. (والإيمان به واجب) الإيمان بالاستواء واجب لأنه ثبت في القرآن وفي السنة. (والسؤال عنه بدعة) السؤال عن الكيفية بدعة. ثم قال: (وما أراك إلا ضالاً) وفي اللفظ الآخر: وما أراك إلا رجل سوء، وأمر به أن يخرج من مجلسه. وهذا يقال في جميع الصفات، فلو سأل شخص وقال: {وَكَانَ اللَّهُ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمًا} [الأحزاب:٤٠]، كيف هذا العلم؟ يقال له: العلم معلوم، والكيف مجهول، والإيمان به واجب، والسؤال عنه بدعة. {إِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ سَمِيعًا بَصِيرًا} [النساء:٥٨]، كيف السمع؟ يقال: السمع معلوم، والكيف مجهول، والإيمان به واجب، والسؤال عنه بدعة. فهذه المقالة عن الإمام مالك رحمه الله تلقاها أهل العلم بالقبول والتصديق، واحتجوا بها، وصارت قاعدة عند أهل السنة في الصفات، أن كل صفة ثبتت للرب سبحانه وتعالى يقال فيها كما قال الإمام مالك

He said: Al-Istiwa’ is not unknown, the modality is not reasonable, belief in it is obligatory, and asking about it is an innovation. This article is proven on the authority of Imam Malik, may God have mercy on him, and the author, may God have mercy on him, transmitted it with the chain of transmission, that Malik, may God have mercy on him, came to him while he was in an update gathering talking to people in the mosque, so he said: O Malik! (The Compassionate Istawa over the Throne) How did He ascend? So Malik nodded, as stated in another narration, and was silent for a while, then he raised his head and said: Where is the questioner? He said: The rising is known, how is unknown, belief in it is obligatory, and asking about it is heresy, and I only see you as a bad man. The author mentioned the saying with this wording: How did it level? He said: Al -Istiwa is not unknown, and its meaning is: It is known in the Arabic language . (And the quality is incomprehensible) and in the other wording he said: (And the quality is unknown) and the incomprehensible equals the unknown, and the unaccountable equals the known, so his saying: (Istiwa is not unknown) means: known, and the quality is incomprehensible, that is: unknown. (Belief in Him is obligatory) Belief in Istiwaa is obligatory because it is established in the Qur’an and in the Sunnah. (And asking about it is heresy) Asking about how is heresy. Then he said: (And I only see you as lost) and in the other wording: And I only see you as a bad man, and he commanded him to get out of his council. And this is said in all attributes, so if someone asked and said: {And God is Knowing of everything} [Al-Ahzab: 40] , how is this knowledge? It is said to him: Knowledge is known, how is unknown, belief in it is obligatory, and asking about it is heresy. {Indeed, Allah is All-Hearing, All-Seeing} [An-Nisa: 58] How is hearing? It is said: Hearing is known, how is unknown, belief in it is obligatory, and asking about it is heresy. This article about Imam Malik, may God have mercy on him, was received by the people of knowledge with acceptance and ratification, and they invoked it, and it became a rule for the Sunnis regarding the attributes, that every attribute that is established for the Lord, Glory be to Him, is said about it as Imam Malik said.

Classical atharis were also affirmationists. This is a contemporary ashari polemic that affirmationism is a new salafi idea. Any reading of pre-salafi athari creeds will make this clear - Saffarini’s lawami’, Ibn taymiyyah’s waasitiyya, tadmuriyya, hamawiyya, majmoo’ fataawa; Ibn Hamdan, Ibn Qudama etc. and of course the copious quotes from the salaf themselves that show this is not a new salafi approach.

Khalil's concept of Allah Pak is extremely contrary to entire Muslim world. Its very strange that the debater, Academic was not actually standing by his beliefs and views in the discussion. He never addressed the points on Allah's existence, knowledge, and all attributes. With the Triune concept of Allah, necessary universe etc, he is very close to Christianity. No wonder he was very glad to appeal to Christians, contributing to their debates on Trinity. Khalil demonstrated such low level of sincerety/authenticity.

Perhaps you missed the debate. My First Rebuttal trashed all of these claims and defended Ismaili Shia tawhid views on God's attributes and necessary creation. My Second rebuttal explained the concept of Allah's existence. Pay attention harder.

the extent to which their "scholars" will fabricate illogical and contradictory explanations for God, His Will, etc is mind boggling man. How is it that God realised He is Creator and then creation became a necessary act in perpetuity but He is simultaneously negated or whatever khalil said and somehow seperate from creation? False teachings no matter whatever word salad may fill its pages will come out as such with enough research. May God the Father enter their hearts and redeem them to the Truth of the Son and what that means for us.
