Bought the Tx22 Compact for the kids/wife. Put the PA classic red dot on it, Cycles flawlessly even with the added weight to the slide. Usually run federal copper hollow points through it (its the boxes i can find at walmart). Been a fun little gun to teach the kids firearm safety and how to manipulate the controls. all the while having to manipulate a safety. its a great little gun.

Thanks for taking the time and the expense to test these pistols with different brands of ammo. Agreed, CCI Mini-Mags are my choice for competitive shooting. Aguila is next, however, haveing to deal with their waxy finish keeps me cleaning the magazines. If I were in the market for a new hand gun, the Taurus TX 22 is first on my list.

Bought a Sig P322 a few months back after watching and reading several positive reviews. Wish I had seen this video before buying. Finally got a chance to go out and shoot it a few days ago. Shot three different brands of ammo and experienced three light strikes with one brand, which I initially chalked up to bad ammo. The biggest issue however was magazine feeding issues that occurred every few shots. The mags are difficult to load properly, especially while out in the field. Ammo has a tendency to lay flat, point downward, or not stack properly, all of which will cause a failure. Despite using care in loading them and trying several different ways to load them I could not overcome this. It was frustrating and time consuming.

I have a KelTec P17. For me it falls short of TX22 and TX22 Compact as well as the SR22 and SW MP22 Compact. These four are outstanding 22lrs. I like the light weight, grip, trigger BUT it is more ammo picky and the slide as designed can make it hard to clear a failure to eject a round in the chamber or if hung under the slide. When all goes well it is fun to shoot but do not consider it as dependable as the other four I mentioned because of the ammo pickiness AND how it can wedge a partially ejected round underneath its slide. By the way, also found some barely visible pin dots of rust in an area under the slide which I promply addressed. Owners might want to look carefully underneath the slide when cleaning so can address this potential issue if it were to show up.

That was a great video! I was shocked at the results, especially since I like the Sig trigger over the Glock trigger. I've tried the Taurus trigger before, and for being such a less expensive gun than Glock & Sig, the trigger had a super pleasant feel! My bro in law sent me the link to this video because he wants to buy a .22 for home defense. I've been sending him .22LR self defense ammo videos, like the CCI Uppercut, & he sent me this one in return.

In my dozen 22lr handguns I have found that NONE of them have a problem with Aquila Super Extra round nose or hollow point so it surprised me the the P322 had trouble with it in this review. Also i have viewed a number of ammo reviews that consider it as a close second to the Cci Mini Mags. Of course the proof is in the pudding so every must follow their individual experience with their particular guns. Also, in my opinion guns really should be able to fire other ammunition than Cci mini mags. While I do realized that particular guns might perform better with one ammo version over another. I have tested each one of my guns with a half dozen or moe ammo brands with Cci as a premium brand first by default and in every case Aquila is a close 2nd, and identify at least two others that run well also. Therefore, i guess each gun has its own "Ammo Profile". If my gun is used for self defense it of course is loaded with Cci or Aquila or a Specialty Ammo such as Federal Punch or Winchester Silver Tip (I also "qualify" the speciality load for that gun as well.)

I bought a P322. Mine didn't work worth a fuck. Shit loads of FTF and FTE. I sent it back to the factory. Now, it only jams about twice-three times a magazine. That was with Remington Golden bullets, Winchester Super X, Federal Automatic Match, CCI Minimags, and Aguila. Even after the trip to the factory, my P322 won't feed any kind of hollow point. So, pardon me if I think any glowing review of a Sig is nothing but hype. Also, doing any type of IA drill with the Sig requires locking the mag to the rear first because you can't rip the mag and it won't drop if you have a FTF. BTW, your channel is the only one that shows the Sig having problems.

I recently purchased the Sig P322 hoping I would end up with a good one after a lot of negative reviews. Mine was made in Jan 2023 so I knew I had a better chance with some of the changes they had made and knowing a few friends who have the 'newer generation' were having no issues. All I can say is that this pistol has become my number one 22LR pistol beating my TX22 competition in every way. It has had 0 FTF, 0 FTE, 0 light primer strkes running with suppressor for the first 1000 rounds. It shoots MUCH more accurately (grapefruit size groups standing at 25 yards) than my TX22. The groups with the TX22 at 25 yards open up quite a bit more. Running holoson 407k on Sig and Vortex Venom on TX22. Both guns are equally as reliable and has eaten everything I tried which include Aguila HV copper RN 1255 fps, Norma Tac 22 1100 fps, Federal American Eagle 970 fps, CCI SV 1070 fps, and CCI Quiet 835 fps. Only time I had light primer strikes with both was when I ran the CCI quiet 835 fps without suppressor (out of 20, maybe 2 wouldn't cycle). This pistol is awesome!

My Sig P322 has been flawless so far. I don’t own the Taurus so I know nothing about it other than what I see on youtube. I do own a S&W 22 Compact and it will run any ammo I have put in it. If the Smith Compact had as high of a capacity as the Sig it would be my favorite, but I do like the 20 + 1 of the Sig(less loading and more fun. I have the Keltec P17 with only a few rounds through it, but so far so good. My over all favorite for accuracy, which I squirrel hunt with is a Ruger MK 1 Target, from the 60’s. It shoots as accurate as most rifles.

I have all three, my TX22 is not the compact though and all of them have had issues of one sort or another, the Sig is very dependent on the way you load the magazine but I use Aguila ammo and I haven't experienced the light primer strikes, it does get rimlocked pretty easily. The Taurus has been fine but it also has a definite failure rate depending on the ability of the shooter to not limp wrist. The G44 I almost sold off a couple times, it was such a disappointment, but like others here after a few bricks of CCI it runs well. None of them run as well as the old humble Ruger SR22 pistol which is nuts to me, My SR22 was a trade procurement so I have no idea of actual round count, the slides are a little beat up but it has easily been through three times the rounds of the rest, I had to replace the takedown lever pretty early but since that one part it has never had issues and it was easily the least expensive of the bunch.

When you load the Sig P322 magazine there is a trick to the feed issue. When you load the rounds you must always put the next round in on top of the rim under it or the round could flip up. Think of it like a mini staircase going up, looking from the rear of the magazine looking in. This could be a Sig magazine issue.

It feeds fine, but the striker doesn’t hit the rim hard enough. No matter the ammo, 10-25% failure rate after 600+ rounds.

The Glock (on numerous missing features) just really missed the boat. The biggest to me was a huge magazine with just 10 rounds. Nice to know about the Sig. am·bi·dex·trous

Think I'd like the compact TX22 even more if it didn't have the slot in the top side of the slide. I'm sure it's made for cosmetic appeal or to compensate for a red dot.. but still, I'd prefer it not to have the top slotted hole.

Strange. My 322 runs flawlessly after i broke the mags in and use 40gr as per the manual. I had a 44 which ran flawlessly which i sold to buy the 322. Never looked back. I’ve never owned or tried the TX22.

Clocks are like Toyotas. There are always someone making aftermarket parts for them, so a suppressor ready barrel should not be a problem.

On my sig p322 had a 500rnd break in. New out the box I had every malfunction with most ammo. For the light primer strikes, I took the fire control group out and added a shim under the hammer spring wich fix that issue. The failure to feed or eject came from the ammo not being seated right in the magazine, that issue was fixed by actually loading the mags to 24rnds instead of the 20. With that being said, I've ran my sig p322 over 4000rnds of everything I can find without a single hiccup. From the last cleaning it's had 2000rnds without any lube and it ran flawless.

Taurus TX22 is the winner, just as I expected. I have a TX22 regular and a competition. They both work very well with CCI standard velocity. A strange thing about all my 22LR pistols -- for a long time they all worked well with all kinds of ammo. But then suddenly all of them started to have cycling problems with almost all kinds of ammo: Aguila, Eley, and Federal, no matter what the velocity was. I just don't understand why there was the sudden change. So I started to try different ammo. Now CCI standard velocity is the only subsonic ammo that works with all my 22LR pistols.

I have one .. manufacture date 12/13/2022 and i have had no issues at all. I keep it clean and shoot only CCI mini mag (over 600 rounds) and i mounted a Holosun 407k-GR and it is one fun shooting pistol and very accurate .. so not all of them have barrel leading issues
