How well does the optic keep a zero? I’ve had a lot of issues with optics for pistols but I want to get one for my G2C. I just want to make sure it will maintain a zero after a few hundred rounds.

Please tell where to purchase this Sight and how much it cost. Does the mounting plate come with it

So I have a question regarding your set-up. What does this do to function of the "chamber loaded" indicator or do you have to make modifications to the the plate so that the indicator still functions? FYI I already have the G2C and want to consider an upgrade to a red dot site?

yo0u can get the optic mount plate for the taurus pt111 g2 g2c g3 at alot of online places including ebay, and yes it will work for venom i have that sight on my pt111 g2 currently

hey where did you buy your place? i have mine from Galloway precision and it works good, but it was not hard or tight to go into the slide, it was rather loose infact and would like to get one thats tight like yours just to be safe

I just got a red dot for my g2c, some people say to upgrade the barrel site with a tall site. Do you find that necessary I think it makes the gun look silly and creates a hang up point from coming out of the holster? I figure if the red dot is sighted good that should be good right?

When I add a red dot. I usually only use that dot on the gun for sights.

Sorry wrong video and gun. Lakeline made the plate I used. They no longer make that plate. But they may have a newer plate. I am sure someone else make a plate. A Google search should turn up one.

He paid more for the sight than the gun........ Nice looking though and great shooting.

There is no connection between the fro t sight and the red dot. There is a small laser in the back of the optic. It beams a red dot I to the glass. You put the dot on the target where you want the bullet to hit. No more front sight centered in the notch of the rear. Equal space between the front sight and rear sight level with the top of the front sight. The dot is just so easy to use.

Did you have to remove the loaded round indicator

I've been filing at this lakeline llc adapter for 2 hour trying to get it to fit my g2c. Finally got it started and started tapping it with a rubber mallet and ended up ruining the adapter and scratching the shit out of my slide. They make them wayyyyy too big I've filed so much down and it's still too large.

@@auschris9296 the lakeline one is perfect once you get it installed. Others overhang the slide on top. This one fits like a glove. Installation was unnecessarily annoying, but it's still the best mounting plate.

@@auschris9296 the lakeline I installed has no overhang, and a nice little notch to allow the loaded chamber flag to pop up. While the installation was a little bit of a pain this thing is snug and has held zero for over 700rounds so far. I Zeroed mine shooting paper targets from 10yds out, resting on a bench to be as steady as possible. I would shoot a 3 shot group and then make adjustments until my groupings were hitting where I was aiming. Someone else might tell you a better more optimal range to 0 from using 9mm ammo from the g2c's barrel length, but I did 10 yds and I'm finding hitting at any ranges 5-30yards to be no problem. Haven't tried to reach out past 30 yet.

@@sclegalcarry7979 I bought this plate for my G2C, and it didn't fit the gun nor did it fit my Truglo tec micro as advertised. The mount you're using on the Taurus is nearly flush with the sides of the slide. The one Lakeline sent is much wider than the slide. I know it is meant to fit snug in the sight mount, so I'm not talking about that. Did you get yours directly from Lakeline? Did you have to do much custom work on it?

@@srmjr4200 Is it possible you ordered the wrong plate or they shipped out the wrong one. Mine is a perfect fit on both guns no mods done. I have not used that optic. All optics have a diffrent hole pattern in them. One plate does not fit all optics. Your plate must be made fore that model of gun and that optic must be made for that optic. They got to match

@@sclegalcarry7979 Thanks for your reply. I spoke with Lakeline and showed them how yours fit. They acknowledged the difference and told me they no longer make the Taurus G2c specific plate like yours. They make a "Multi-plate" and that's what they shipped me. The "Multi-plate" is supposed to fit the G2c, Glocks and numerous other guns. It seems to me, from a fit standpoint, the plate is more suited to Glocks or others with wider slides than the G2c. I'm sending the multi-plate back and checking out a different company. I'll let you know if it turns out as nice as yours.

Where do I get that plate at? I've got the g2c and everyone keeps telling me you can't add a red dot to it.. so I need that plate where and how do I get it

Before you make this change research extremely well. The mounting plate only has 1 screw attaching it to the gun...1st time I installed I thought I didn't put enough loctite and it came off and almost hit me in the head. 2nd time sight hit me in the head, I purchased longer mounting screws and took it to the range today and got 4 rounds through it and it started loosening up... All together I only have maybe 45 rounds with the red dot and plate... Hopefully I can make it work but I am now sceptical...

@Obersturmführer Klein my plate was snug also to the point where I had to file it down and maybe I filed a tad too much or uneven because there is a minute amount of play when I try and wiggle it. I can only get it to slide out through the side still but just enough to wiggle and I can imagine the amount of torque on the slide with the added weight will loosen it up. So the error is on me ..

The red Dot sight costs $100 more than the gun did. If people would stop paying the stupid prices the prices would go down.

Yes you you can quiet easily you’ll just have to shop around for a good quality holster that’s made to accept optic John from active self protection carries a slightly bigger gun with an optic AIWB I plan on putting this on my g2c
