The G2C was my first conceal 4 yrs ago and I absolutely love it. Put in a new stainless steel guide rod, stainless steel striker guide and a new barrel. Shot I’ve 1500 rounds with no hiccups. Eats everything I put in it. Awesome gun!!!!

@@crashlife487 and, this is important, just because a firearm is priced low, doesn't mean it's "cheap" or low quality. I have an American Tacical Imports (Philippine made) 1911 that cost me $380 out the door, and it's been as reliable as any 1911 ever produced. The G2c only has one flaw, and that's the trigger. But if you know how to use a trigger reset, the first round is the only time you can tell there's a "cheap" trigger. And if that's too much for the gun snobs? Then you can buy a $20 trigger upgrade that sincerely improves that first round trigger travel and makes it feel identical to a Glock. I believe the one I bought was Galloway Precision. I also have higher priced pistols and I've had them fail more than my budget-friendly pistols. The gun snobbery these days is unreal. I'm not brand-loyal to anything because any mechanical device can fail. I used to have a kimber that wouldn't cycle for shit. Lemons happen anywhere and everywhere, and so do fan-boys. That's why I love people like us that appreciate all firearms for what they are

I have one with similar upgrades it wasn’t my first gun but for the price and going on friends first-hand experience and positive reviews on KZread I figured it would be an inexpensive little project gun And I am very happy with it . good job brother, keep doin what makes you happy !!!

Well done on the video! I, too, am a G2C fan! I bought my first Taurus back in April of 2013 (a PT24/7...I'm a Taurus so I was being purposely cheesy but little did I know how much I would love the gun!) ...but never shot it until 2 months ago! (Long story short...I am a golf head and a photographer so time was limited!) I saw the G2C loved the way it felt in my hand and treated myself to an early Christmas gift! I have researched this gun for countless hours, watched damn near every video, and couldn't pass up on the price!! I have all the same upgrades plus keep tinkering's trigger I gotta say tho the Spartan lasermax fits this gun like it was specifically made just for it, looks awesome!! I also have the p365 and m&p shield 2.0 but I don't ti could live without the g2c just beautiful gun. Yours looks awesome son.

I live in Las Vegas and I got a G2C for my conceal carry also and I couldn't be happier. I also replaced that little plastic striker guide and the trigger pull is so much cleaner, but if you don't wanna replace that part I noticed it does get better after I put more rounds through it.

Lrr_Of_Omikron I definitely have replaced that orange plastic sleeve into a stainless steel part and it has made it feel ten times nicer ! I’ve also changed the trigger into one of keep tinkering’s SAO trigger and it was the best 35$ I’ve spent ! Check his triggers out brother !

I brought my wife one a week ago, just shot the gun today. When she shot her 1st magazine, a few shots in the next bullet didn't go in the chamber, had to load the next bullet manually. Did again a few shots later same magazine load. When I shot the next magazine no problems, so far I do like the gun, do have to get used to the tigger

I feel like next generation they’re gunna up the price because it’s such a well received model

The pt111 g2 series has been around for awhile. I doubt the price will change much unless they start adding more features. It's biggest selling point is its price point, the further you get from that the more options/Competition they have. The only thing I would change is the sights, theres not much for aftermarket, would be nice to have more aftermarket options in line with glock or sig

RickeyandAmbre Stevens - I’ve purchased two from PSA, one for me and one for my wife. Added the striker firing pin stainless steel channel liner, trigger/striker springs and Truglo night sights from Lakelinellc. Have a stainless steel guide rod from Lakeline coming to me also. The gun shot well in stock form so, I bought the G3. Did the trigger/striker pin springs and firing pin channel guide swap on it too. The G3 shoots like a dream, fits my hand better than the G2C and definitely fits my hand better than any of my Glocks. Only have a few hundred rounds through each one and they digested every round flawlessly. I think Taurus is shaking up the gun community with affordable, reliable guns with lifetime warranty. Glock, Sig, S&W... you folks paying attention?

I have a g2c love it without any upgrades its my daily carry with a good leather iwb holster. I also have a S&W SD40 with a few upgrades, but its more for home defense .

The clip is going to be my first upgrade. It makes the most sense to me over a case for similar reasons.

@@SwiggOfSauce Yeah, I have a CZ 75B and it's too big to carry in the summer time. My cousin is a Taurus freak so, I tried one and I love em! Now, as far as the CZ! Still no comparison! The CZ is the sniper rifle of the handgun world!!! But, I really like the G2C'S and I can get em for 215 dollars here!!!

@@SwiggOfSauce have 4 of these guns. Mine has over 5,500 rounds with NO problems. There was 1 box of federal steel case ammo that it didn't like. None of my guns did good with this ammo so I dont consider it a fail. My glock 26 sits in the safe collecting dust. For the money you cant get a better gun.

Maurice Wiley I’m talking about different ratings of basically power of the round. So if it’s. +P or just P the +P are more kick more so found in self defense style rounds. So if your gun can shoot light ammo or strong ammo, it is a good reliable gun that will shoot any ammo in its caliber platform. That’s a good thing ! So the G2C in this video dose just that and it’s at such a good price you can’t go wrong. Hope this message helps brother ! God bless stay safe !

My first handgun was a pt1911... people hated on it in the forums, but i had over 1000 rounds through it without an issue. I think people with high dollar products in general look down on budget products. Anyway, the G2C is a Gem. Im going all in.

I definitely love to save money like any other human 😅 so a G2c to start off knowing nothing about firearms, I believe is such a good choice because it has been tested to be reliable by many owners. This is why I chose this as my first gun and I know people out there love it as much as I do. Thanks for watching brother and happy holidays !

The g2c is aweasome. I also have the g3 which is my EDC. Both are excellent guns. Put a 1000 rounds down each and never one failure.

Great video and thanks for posting! You definitely got the right gun, i bought a new Glock 43 and had 2 malfunctions right off the bat and with my Taurus G2c i am at 5000 rounds and not one malfunction of any type. And the so called "safe action trigger" on the Glock is total bullshit as it is not a safety at all, i don't care what anyone says. I have carried Glock most of my life and i am 60, and still have all my Glocks but i hate when Glock promotes it as a safe action trigger.... it is deceiving to new users. I carry my G2c with one in the chamber (but), i leave the safety off because i have many years of carrying my Glocks i am use to it. My only advice would be (if) you feel more comfortable having the safety on when you carry it, make sure you get lots of training in and try and get training with stressful situations so you muscle memory adjusts to the safety. Your going to get tons of critics saying to never carry with the safety on, but my theory is if it makes the gun safer to you, your going to have to realize it will slow you down in a high stress situation where split seconds count! Training is the key to everything with a gun....oh by the way...quit fanning yourself with your gun even though you know it is empty bad bad thing to do!!

Since I don’t have to much money to be spending on a Glock the G2C are just as good or my opinion even better than Glocks, as well as it goes for such a low price ! Also I do go to the range at least once a week and work on my draws and making sure I take the safety off and on to build a habit, maybe after a few years of training, i would feel confident enough to carry without the safety ! And I do apologize for the fanning ! Since making this video I’ve also realized the amount of fanning I’ve done ! Lol. Cheers Jeff !

Haha. That's funny. Glocks are very safe. They call it a safe pull trigger because it has an internal safety that doesn't allow the striker to go forward unless the trigger is fully depressed. I carry my glock locked and loaded daily with no fear of accidental discharge.

@@jwold11 Or otherwise called a "drop safety" there Einstein. i am talking about Glock misleading mostly new owners about the safe action trigger , in other words Einstein there making it sound like it has an actual safety that keeps the trigger from going off and it don't! jamardns77 so mines still works amazing the lights and laser has been kicking like a champ there is an internal battery so it’s rechargeable via micro usb ! But I’ve charged my light/laser thing once in the past 2 months and it’s still going good on a charge ! Just don’t leave it charging over night that can eventually kill the battery !

I have well over 5000 rounds through my g2c completely stock. I just started my upgrade I got the lakeline striker guide spring and return spring and fire pin housing. Waiting on my trigger and fire sights. But the shit I already changed fires better than my wife's glock 43x

david sero Damn ! That’s a lot of rounds ! As you should brother ! Small upgrades to this G2C dose wonders ! Especially he trigger by keep tinkering !

For carry, upgrade the guide rod, the striker carrier, and get the overtravel trigger kit, maybe if youre feeling real snazzy then get a trigger spring kit. As far as mods go, polish the striker safety (itll take care of alot of the trigger creep on the first shot being d/a) and upgrade the sights. Remember that most interactions where a gun has to be drawn happen at less than 15 feet, if you cant hit your target with any firearm at that distance then you need to be spending more money training and put rounds down range than on fancy lights and grips. Reliability upgrades first and if you do alot of target shooting then upgrade trigger and sights. I hadnt shot my g2c in a couple months and when i pulled it out of my carry bag it had surface rust and thats the only issue ive had so far, after the first of the year im gonna have it refinished with nitride (very corrosion resistant compared to blued steel) and do the upgrades while its torn down. Plan on doing the trigger and sights to as i have xd-s mod 2 and after shooting both side by side the only complaint i had about the g2c was the sights and the first shot double double action pull is quite mushy and creepy compared to the rest

I don't know if it's been mentioned yet, but you can run P226 mags as back-ups mags for additional capacity. The G2C accepts P226 mags so they'll run the 20 rounders.

Roy Ayers been definitely using both of these at the range recently to test and has been great now of course I only let off about 20 self defense rounds, I dominantly use Fiocchi for the range because it’s affordable and good ammo. Stay blessed !

Keep Tinkering installed the trigger I bought from him! The stock trigger sucks big time, at least mine did. Mine hung up, didn’t fully reset each time. I sent it in to Taurus and it came back exactly the same! Having the upgraded trigger from Keep Tinkering made my G2C perfect! Love shooting it now! He has several triggers for the G2C on EBay! People will tell you to leave the trigger alone, but lots of people upgrade their guns with different triggers all the time! Huge improvement to the stock G2C trigger!

smokin truker Very true! I tried to install the “Keep Tinkering” Curve SA/DA trigger I bought from him and lost a little spring, a little ball bearing for the safety. I’m no gun smith so I shipped my frame to Keep Tinkering and he installed it. He’s a great guy. Got it back fast and now I love shooting my G2C! So unless you’re an experienced gun smith or at least have a very good working knowledge of triggers etc I wouldn’t advise taking on trigger work yourself.

Looks clean.. and that orion looks clean too heheh You had me laughing at the 32 mag

I love mine. I’ve been carrying it for a few years now and I trust it 100%. I do have to say though. Mods do need to be added due to the stock components that have plastic. But when you do, man it’s freaking reliable

NO, the stainless guide rod and striker guide do not "need" to be added. Stock pistol 11,000 rounds later and no worn out guide rod or striker guide breakage 😉

I also own a G2c but this is like tricking out a 94 Honda Civic ...it already does what it needs to do for the price

qbanz although this is true there are others out there that might want to have some fun and add some attachments to there gun. I made this video and will be updating it with a red dot just because I want to have the G2C with all the extra parts just so if some one wants to pick and choose the part they want, they can apply it to there gun, I mean they do not have to do everything like I did I’m just being extra to be honest ! Yes I know in Florida if you get caught with FMJ bullets in ur conceal carry and ur not at the range you will get into trouble they want you to have hollow points

bass guy19 yes because fmj can penetrate where the hollow will expand and stay put in the target so point is you won’t hit innocent bystanders. The carry mag was being tested the next day at the range so I had filled it with some fmj rounds, lol. All my carry magazines for my guns have hollow points ! 💪💯

I live up above you in Wilpo (Williamsport) pa. Good vid on the G2C I got one about a month ago. Stainless on black. Put a talon grip on it and got a 15 round extended mag so far and a kydex holster. Idk what else I’ll do yet. Maybe some sights but the stock ones aren’t bad

Olight pl mini 2 or baldr mini. Definitely smaller, lighter and more reliable lights. Plus they adjust to the gun better than the one you have. When you get around to upgrading of course:) Plus, they are very affordable.

I'm my opinion. 90% or higher of reviewers or one timers who want to share their opinions are all one sided about the G2c. You cant do that. Your comparing a 200.00 weapon to a 500.00 plus weapon. It's not fair to do. The G2c and S models are a firearm that stands alone. Proving a whole lot wrong. Meaning you dont need to shell out 650.00-700.00 for a quality weapon. Taurus is proving alot to everyone. It's a simple fact Taurus is gaining alot of ground and alot of respect from the world. If you look at it as a G2c and not competing to other models in a open mind. Then and only then can you honestly compare it to another weapon of your choice

@@SwiggOfSauce hope you're right about the aftermarket support, but I have the 111G2 and LakeLIne is pretty much the only vendor I've found offering anything. I added their SS return spring/guide rod, fiber sights, and the stainless firing pin sleeve (not sure what they called it) which turned my $200 PT111 G2 into a nicer piece with a ttl of $300 in it. it's a great little gun but mine took some work to get the trigger broken in. early on it was terrible I couldn't trust it not to hang up completely during the trigger pull. after break in and some polishing, it's like butter. Not sure if the G2C are as bad given they removed the security system.

Nice... You did all the upgrades I plan on doing... Just picked one up from RK for $208.

Wouldn't you know the G2c went on sale the following week. Lol.... I had planned on the G2c anyway. Taurus stepped up their game with the G2c. Ill keep in touch when I go to upgrade brotha!! I sincerely hope that someone has told you (and you have learned) to get a holster. Never should a loaded gun be outside of a proper holster (covering the trigger guard completely and made of a hard, non flexible material) unless it is being fired. No hate bc I considered one of those clips when I first got into guns. I have since learned that it is extremely unsafe to carry a gun like that. Please DO NOT carry like this anymore. Somebody’s going to be hurt.

what about people who pocket carry ? they use no hustlers the gun has a thumb and trigger safety idk I think that's a great way to carry with our printing just keep the safety on..

Extremely easy to change if you dont like it. You can change at least 3 maybe 4 times. And also on Lakeline LLC you can buy just the fiber strip replacements for cheap money

I bought a brand new glock 27 2020, stove topped & failure to eject first 1,000 rounds. First 1500 rounds on G2C ran flawless.

Magazine not clip and it's a firearm not weapon. Thank you good job on review

I live in philly (I live right off city ave next to the target store) , and have the same gun...(great gun!!!) Now with the light, you now have created a duty weapon or house gun....make sure you carry a stand alone flash light...because you don't want to have to pull out your weapon to get some light (Because it can result in a Brandishing a weapon charge) Philly is very hard on it's CCW people

After modifying my G2C, it just showed me you do not need a high end expensive pistol in order to have available parts that are out there for it ! Thanks for watching brother !

$300 in upgrades on a $200 gun???

cheitner the amount on total upgrades I did to this gun is close to correct. Also keep in mind you can do a few of these upgrades if the budget isn’t all there. I just did the most upgrades I could find because I had money left over for accessories rather then spending the full 500$ on a glock or something as my first purchase. So if the budget allows then do any upgrades that fits the budget ! Thanks for the topic that got me thinking !
