Americans buying this stuff off shein is like they think they have free health care. Like yes 10$ for a tattoo $1000s for doctor bills later or die
@LiterallyAllNamesAreTaken

people do it with piercings too. yes that piercing cartridge was $2 but your ear swelled over the jewellery overnight and now needs to be cut out 🤗 saving $30 just to then need to spend a few hundred or thousand $ later. I actually just came from looking at amazon reviews of them, it’s actually tragic. and they show pics of the results as if they think it looks good when it doesn’t. 🫡 delusional.

@@LiterallyAllNamesAreTaken I guess I was lucky when I got one of those self piercing things in Japan (cheaper healthcare at least). Biggest issue I had was I sprung one off before getting it up to my ear and couldn't reset it, so I had to slowly push the stud into my earlobe. It definitely hurt!
I'm terrified by how cheap these kits are ..... nothing literally going INTO your body should cost a tenner!!!! 🤢

MRI and Tattoos: my MRI tech told me poor quality inks or really old (before regulations) inks can have metals in them and MRI machines can burn your skin where the tattoo is! If you're tattooed with cheap ink this could happen.

@@unassumingcorvid9639 I haven't removed it. It looks alright just feels a bit raised as if it's fresh (but it's been a year). Some people treat tattooing at home like a bad haircut after a break up and it’s scary 😅😂
Omg the tattoo machine reviews are so horrific. As someone who wants to be a tattoo artist, I’d rather wait until I get an apprenticeship to start tattooing and if anyone gets a tattoo machine online, they need to only use it for fake skin. From what I heard the “inks” it comes with a label that says to not use it on skin and it’s only for FAKE skin. Also the DQ Fart part killed me 😂😂

It actually seems like it's worse to put the second skin over those home tattoos. They haven't cleaned it thoroughly enough before, during, or after. They are just sealing the germs in, so there is no way to clean it out.

My tattoo guy is moving soon to another state. I was thinking I should mention this to him as my alternative. What a fun conversation that will be 😂
God almighty imagine if someone got that ink lab-tested, what would they find....When I was younger I also saw the appeal of stick-and-pokes and I won't tell anyone else not to. I did a few myself but I took it very seriously. If you want to do a stick-and-poke tattoo, you need to buy from a real, reputable tattoo equipment supplier for quality ink and real surgical-quality sterile needles, use gloves, create a sterile and clean environment, wear gloves, use proper disinfectant make sure you get advice from real artists, etc. because things can go wrong so quickly!

I think the scariest part is a lot of these are likely teenagers since (to my knowledge) tattoo machines on websites like this don't try and verify your age at all.
I started with an amazon kit. 40$. Started on oranges and fake skin. Bought trusted ink to move over to skin. Worked on myself a bunch. Few years later and now I have a tattoo studio. These machines have their place. That place is the beginners learning portion of tattoo. Once you move past that, you need to upgrade to something that offers more quality control.
@lelalu101
3 ай бұрын
I respect the hell out of your start. But a $40 amazon kit from three years ago is so different than a sub $10 kit from shein. Getting affordable equipment to start out prior to working on humans, fine. Get proper ink and needles with appropriate safety certs etc for when you go to people. If there is a right way to do it you did it, not the shein nightmares in the video above.
@davinastein5776

@@lelalu101 so, the only part of your reply is that the 40$ machine is got from amazon, the 10$ machine from shien, and rhe 135$ machine at my local tattoo supply place are literally the same machine. The only difference is the label. They are all made in china at the same factory with the same components. Pricier machines with labels might offer a 1 year warranty, but my 1200$ microbeau machine is identical to a 30$ machine on shien. I bought it. They are the same. The only difference is the illusion of branding. And after rigorous testing between the two, I confidently swap them out all the time. Nothing wrong with buying wholesale.
Just sat down for desert with a very large glass of wine, just what the doctor ordered - perfection.
"oh... Is that a new tat? What is it of?" "Sepsis."
Who would be dumb enough to buy a tattoo machine from shein and expect to have a good outcome? Even an experience tattoo artist would have trouble working with that thing
@nowandaround312
3 ай бұрын
Almost all of them were happy with the outcome though, that's part of the problem. Multiple people even rated it highly because their tattoo _didn't disappear_ as if there are tattoo machines in existence that give you temporary tattoos using needles and ink. SHEIN!? GURL! Couldn't even imagine buying makeup from shein let alone a tattoo kit! WTF!?
Even the idea of this is horrific. If you consider the amount of apprenticeship hours tattoo artists put in before even going full fledged independent it's mind boggling. If I'm getting art, it's going to be aces. Yikes
No no no. Not shein tattoo machines. The makeup was bad enough now this 😭 Here’s a fun internet tattoo machine story, when I was in my early 20’s maybe just barely 20 I had a fwb who’s house I was staying at, at some point he broke out a tattoo machine and starting tattooing his friend before they started I asked if he wanted me to draw on a stencil because they both know I’m a halfway decent artist who could freehand script with a sharpie for him to follow much better than this guy could with the machine. He said “no all good here!” And started tattooing I felt so awful for this kid. Later in the night I drew a realistic octopus wrapped around an anchor and he tattooed that on him too. What a time!
Completely off topic but I absolutely love this makeup look on you and your hair??? Absolutely stunning ❤❤

SHEIN sell a TATTOO KIT? that is a million different types of problematic..
this reminds me of when I took my stepdads tattoo gun to school and let my friends borrow it. One came to school the next day completely COVERED in jagged squiggles meant to resemble stars and moons. Some of his tattoos looked like he had started with no plan, fucked up, CROSSED IT OUT, and started again right next to the crossed out space. Its actually a miracle that he never got a crazy infection but he definitely struggled trying to get his first job. I'm worried that most of the people who turn to shien for this are children who view it as easier than trying to get your parents to both allow and pay for your underage tattoo. They dont realize how dangerous it can be
i've recently seen a video on how toxic shein stuff is, like some stuff contains lead etc and for the clothes i mean you can at least wash them, but it should be common sense to not use make up, or anything that touches your food from shein, temu aliexpress but a TATTOO KIT??? putting the chemicals right in your skin is crazy

there's definitely things I'll cheap out on like doing my own nails and being my own barber, but tattoos will never be part of that!! ever!
I fear to think of what's in some of that sketchy ink...probably lead! Terrifying!
My tattoo artist went as far as showing me his autoclave and the steps he took to sterilize his equipment and the certificates from the government. He did this before we setup a time for me to come in.
Exactly what I need right now

What is the background music please I know it but I cannot place it and it’s driving me insane 😭
making tattooing at home so cheap and accessabble really makes me worry for a spike in people getting HIV, besides the obvious infections they could be giving themselves, like babes it's soooo not worth it
6:15 ...I love their Bette Midler tattoo! xo
I accidentally got a 3D tattoo once, we figured out I’m allergic to white ink😭 it was pretty gnarly tbh, my whole leg swelled up but the tattoo didn’t, it sort of sealed itself and I had to sterilise a sewing needle and poke all 4 sides of the tattoo so it had some airflow it was the worst experience imaginable it burnt so bad while it was swelling and for about a day after I had created some airflow I can’t imagine how these will turn out and how much they will hurt when they get infected!
I got a quite large breast cancer ribbon/black heart combination tattoo from a reputable artist, and I wasnt even as red as that red cross tattoo. I had my tat on my belly/hip line, so a painful, swelling prone area
My bestie got cosmic tattoo machine (for the face) from a company that only works in pigments, needles for this machine, and machines. We pitched in together and i gifted it to her as an early birthday present 140$ for just the machine and 2.50 per needle Inks were stupid pricey because we wanted vegan ink from Japanese brand (dont recall sorry) I have 2 tattoos done from her and the first one healed like a dream and im still healing the second one so the outline is a bit raised but the shading and colored ink settled in wonderfully
The American flag, bald eagle, gunshot edit was 10/10
I love your videos but I will not be looking at any infected tattoos until my fresh work of art is fully healed😭😌
I'm just thinking about how painful a coverup will be since the skin will be scared after using these.
I have a mast cell activation disorder and my tattoo sometimes becomes partially 3D as a result of it? It has a large flat black area to it and I get bumps on it sometimes when I can feel the MCAD be more volatile, smaller bumps on the more lightly colored areas too sometimes. My mom gets the same with her tattoos despite having like the mildest case of MCAD. Anyway yeah I'm pretty sure the tattoo could be really 3D if I had severe MCAD lmao, and in that case I probably would die from anaphylactic shock.
I bought a machine off amazon, threw away almost everything else with it and bought $22 ink and some different needles. No problems thus far but I can see how easily things could definitely go wrong. I've been doing blackout on my hand and arm, also started one later on my leg so..
Tattoo kit - $9.99 possibly unknown foreign disease or an infection - FREE!
Blanket and tea time ❤❤ ready for the yikess
Well, I have to say that I would like to buy a tattoo machine, but only to work on those fake skin things (to use the results in other projects). I would never put that thing on myself or - god forbid!!! - on someone else. That's what professional tattoo artists are there for, why would I deface myself like that?
Honestly better than my stupid teenage self, with a protractor from my pencil case and sharpie ink in science class.... It lasted a year or two. Still just as bad though 😂
Natural selection
At least the dodgy ink would work well on the fake skin.

I think by 3d they mean infection
I remember doing a stick and poke tattoo on my leg as a teen, Thank god I didn't do it deep enough though and therefore it faded away completely in less than a year.
It's A&D ointment. Which stands for vitamin a and vitamin D ointment. Tattoo artists have been using it for years as an aftercare. Just about every tattoo supply place in America sells it. Maybe they don't have it in England?
Off to shein uk to read reveiws 😂
When I was in my first year of high school I hand poked a bunch of small tattoos on my arm in my English class. I used a sewing needle, a lighter, and a BIC ink pen (not the ball point, but a more “fancy” one), and alcohol wipes. I would draw on the image, poke it a bunch, wipe, draw the image back on, poke, etc until they were done. I tell people everyday I am lucky I didn’t get a serious infection and die. I covered all of them except one on the side of my knee because it’s a reminder that I, too, was a stupid kid.
