Dudelsack Musik ist toll, ich bin jedesmal glücklich 😊 wenn ich diese Musik 🎶 höre.
the fact that they started off with “Der Königgrätzer Marsch” even though the bad memories they had they still proudly play their old marches from Prussian times
Was wäre es für eine schöne Welt, wenn alle Soldaten, anstatt Krieg zu führen miteinander Musik machen würden! Ich wünsche mir so eine 🌍 Welt

What I like about the Berlin Tattoo is that it’s the most ‘military’...a lot of other tattoos have turned into mere pop concerts.
Excelente música militar y civil.Esto es hermandad universal. Gracias.
Semper Talis
wonderful music ,military music stirring, no matter which nation ,
glad that the musickorps had the kindness to play that awesome song despite what happens in the show I appreciate that.
Now after 80 years they play together ... what a story behind, as for 1948 try not to cry. Military music, better known as marching music, was played by the Landsknechts to encourage the warriors when there was a fight in the open field. Interesting how we perceive this music...
The Scotsman Bag pipes are marvelous playing AMAZING GRAÇE. Remember the words.
I was never aware of such a magnificent tatoo also organized in Berlin. I have a deep affection for the Edinburgh and Netherlands tatoo. Now I should add this channel to my favorite list.

Fabulous show! Best of the best! Bravo!!!
A Tattoo is a formal military parade, where the band usually gets to showcase its repertoire; my grandmother told me of the local Garrison band (Koeln / Cologne) doing the Tattoos, and on Sundays playing their repertoires in a park. We used to do that in the US, until the military fell from grace. Still have formal concerts, but nothing like the late 1800's.

I guess the concerts are in the DC area, maybe the BIG cities. In the south we're lucky to get a military band or two once a year in a few Mardi Gras parades. And it's not like we don't have a strong military presence... Keesler AFB, Barksdale AFB, Several Naval Supports and Air Sta's Which house every branch. And the Army is close too. Camp Shelby, Fort Polk... I'm a veteran and would love to see more of this. American patriotism could use a jump start or three. Maybe it's too late. 9/11 united the public for a little while, but no where near like Pearl Harbor and WW2 did. And instead of the Covid bringing people together against a common "enemy" mostly I saw selfishness and discord. IDK, I guess things and people were different in days of my parents (met at a USO dance in '42 & married for that number of years), and your grandmother. Perhaps the political and other division in America is so great that it'll never get better... Here on KZread is a 15 minute black and white video of a WW2 Victory Parade in New York City. I was surprised at the turnout. In 1993 I marched in a Gulf War parade in NYC and people were more aggravated and "inconvenienced" than anything else. I loved the Big Band Swing @ 37:35 that's what my taught me to dance to. No USO dances for us boomers...
Wonderful music and version@ from an italian brother to all germany lots of greets love and respect! May italy and germany be' sisters forever! Luca viva la grande italia e la nobile germania!!!!👍👍🤩🤩👍👍🇮🇹🇮🇹🇩🇪🇩🇪
I was with the U.S. Army, Company B, 2nd Battalion, 6th Infantry, Berlin Brigade 1979-1982 and the Berlin Tattoo was never something to miss. It's always been so incredibly spectacular. Also, it happens to date far back into German military history.

@ AGB I immediately noticed it...I was actually watching Band of Brothers the night before last. I also enjoyed Bagley's 36:36 "National Emblem March", my personal favorite American march, and the Big Band Swing "In the Mood" @ 37:18 by Glen Miller. And how the Swede's did the piece by ABBA "Gimmie Gimmie Gimmie " @ 49:40 . I was just commenting on another vine that I wish America would start having at least an annual Tattoo and Retreat like this, and the Brits. Or at least our military bands take to the streets, for no special occasion (like in England and Italy). I'm a veteran and im sad to say that I think American patriotism is dead. I have NO musical talent whatsoever, save knowing what's good, and can name more than 50% of our marches. Most Americans who aren't fans of martial music can't name 2. I'm not even sure if our kids are even being taught the Star Spangled Banner in school ? Do they even say the Pledge of Allegiance in school anymore ? In my day we also had to learn My Country Tis of Thee, O Beautiful for Spacious Sky's, and God Bless America. Used to be that "crisis" used to bring people together (like Pearl Harbor and WW2, and to a much lesser degree 9/11) but after seeing everything that went on with the Covid-19, the Minneapolis BS, the Election... and what's still happening, I really don't have any hope for a return to patriotism. Different times, different values I guess... Love your Matchbox collection BTW

Distinctive drill and ceremony are apart of every Army. The German Army's open hands while marching go back in their Army's history, as does the round pip you see on their headgear and the Glockenspiel. The British military's "stomp" when they do facing movements, as well as their full arm-swing, are integral to their drill.Lang plays a mellow trombone.
