I am untatooed but curious What happens with this? Intentionally bad: Like home made, stick n poke but low quality results?

​@@ManBolo5432it's the new gens way of being counter culture. Tattoos are so mainstrram now but they dont like the ways of the old. They look at the structured, proper way of tattooing as being too bland or unoriginal. I wont go too much more into it but you will see the ignorant, bad-on-purpise tattoos all fall into a specific crowd of identitarian type. Their whole lifestyle and aesthetic is just ugly.

Those flowers are spontaneous and expressionistic. I quite like them really. They have a strong graphic nature and look like sketches. I don't want one, but I certainly see the appeal. Soz

Idk about the hourly thing. Here in Canada every single tattooer charges by the hour and it’s perfectly fine. But they also have a minimum price for tattoos that take less than an hour.

Every artist I've ever gone to charges by the hour. I've been super fortunate in that each one has been legit. I only ever had one ask for a break, and that was four hours into the piece and he wanted to get some lunch, he even offered to buy me lunch as well which was super cool. And honestly, I needed the break anyway, needed to stretch my legs a bit!

I have been seeing such a large uptick in bad tattoos, and I can't tell if they were done bad on purpose anymore. A lot of that stuff at like 4:00 and I'm just not sure how long this is going to last. Lol.

The other thing that they dont tell you about laser is that it can scar the skin. Which, I wish I wouldve known beforehand. I was blasting a piece of a tattoo an artist fucked up and now the skin is scared so idk if i can go back over it without it being blown out or something.

The laser dont scar the skin, ur artist scarred u while tatooing or u just have issue with the aftercare

That weird art is popular in places like Iceland and Denmark. It's super "hipstery" you'd think those guys would be more into badass viking & rune tattoos 🤷🏻‍♂️

Had a client that returned with her tattoo appearing to have healed wrong due to her after care. Sometimes you do the best job but the client care or lack there of causes problems to the tattoo

with one of my tattooo i almost got the name the font tattooed on me instead of the words. i was confused looking at the stencil being like thats the name of the font but thats the wrong font and where's the actual words. in the end i think it worked out since the words were below a animal i was getting tattoed on me so i just had them skip the words. which i think worked better for at least the look im going for

I dont know if you will see this comment 3 months later, but laser tattooing: i got a consultation from a pico laser while i was in lasering off some sun damage (that comes back quite fast if anyone were wondering, id say not worth the money), but for my tatttoo, they said i wasnt a good candidate because i had white and colors that had white in them, and any laser will turn that gray instead of removing them. They said it works quite well on black and most colors now, but that rose, skull and bird especially looks like the result they showed me when you laser something with white in it. It turns gray and that gray doesnt go away like a garywash would.

Definitely not a quick fix thing. But great if you want to get something else over it anyway. Can make it easier for the next artist
