Goodmorning Kent, as a black gentleman from Texas, I do want to see a black cowboy enjoying your food and your funny yet wholesome rants. That will fill my heart with joy. Thats america in its purest. After a hard day of work, people of all colors and creed coming together and enjoying a meal. We need it especially today. They trying to divide us so bad, there's talk of civil war 2. We need to unplug from iphones and internet and go back to the basics, eat the food we grow on our land with star spangled banner hoisted high on our camps

when i was a kid, my mom (sometimes with me helping) use to make this casserole. Since my mom wasn't too big a fan of using ground beef, she used ground turkey. The cheeses we used were both cheddar and Monterey jack. Every once in a while, we would add green beans and corn into it or as a side. We always set it up similar to how you layer lasagna. It was always meat, sauce, cheese and tator tots in that order. Kent is right. The tator tots must be front and center. Even though we cooked it in the biggest casserole dish we have, there was hardly any leftovers. Every one always went back for seconds. Thank you for bringing back some good childhood memories. Now i gotta go and dig out that casserole dish.

@@sstein49 Shoot it ate my reply... There isn't much of a recipe, just ingredients and layer however you want and bake for about 30 mins. 1 bag defrosted tatter tots 2 packets country gravy mix (or make homemade). Will need milk. 2 lbs breakfast sausage, ground 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or your own choice) Cook sausage till done. Do not drain grease entirely. Make country gravy via instructions, using sausage oil left behind. Mix together gravy and sausage when done. Spray non-stick spray in large rectangular cake pan Layer tots along bottom of pan Pour gravy and sausage over tots Cover with cheese or layer between tots and sausage gravy then on top. Bake till cheese is melted and center is hot. I'm just giving rough amounts, but make it however you want 🙂 I've had it before but wasn't told the exact recipe...

@@matthewn4896 If you make this in the regular oven, 350 degrees for an hour, then 10-15 monitored minutes under the broiler of the oven will crisp the tops of the tots nicely! keep an eye on it tho, doesn't take long for the already cooked tots to go from crisp to burnt! It's the best of both worlds, the part of the tot that's down in the mix is soft and "saucy", but the top half is nice a crispy.

I always enjoy your videos. You are a delight to watch cook. All that aside it is your authenticity and the fact you know who you are and where you came from that makes your videos so much fun. Thank You for teaching me cooking techniques and entertaining me along the way. Thank you to that lady Shannon your wife in the back ground who helps and if I was to guess provides a lot of support for you along the way. Keep up the good work!

This is a recipe I let my wife cook, and she does a great job. Never wasted a teaspoon of it; but I'm definitely going to show her this with the sauce you made. The liquid smoke is a nice life hack.

Is that what he added two drops of? I can understand him being careful with that. It's too easy to overdo. I always put mine in a spoon first so as not to ruin a meal with too much smoke, though I actually prefer to use smoked sea salt and smoked pepper.

@@valvenator Yup, powerful stuff. I sometimes make my own. I don't recommend it as the store bought is made exactly the same way, only on a larger scale. Just as good. I just do it for fun.

@@davidbuben3262 I tried some cheap brand years ago and it went in the trash. Tried the Wright's brand recently and it's much better. It smells of barbecue and not of a stale ashtray.

Mmmm one of my favorite meals, only I like to mix some peas canned or frozen in mine. Never tried making it on the fire camping though. That might be next summer's camping trip special now. I actually prefer the cheap brands of mushroom soup too, cause I like the flavor the mushrooms give, but don't care for mushrooms themselves :P
