ਸੰਤਾਲੀ ਵਿਚ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਇਕ ਵੀ ਜ਼ਿਲੇ ਵਿਚ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਦੀ ਬਹੁਗਿਣਤੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ । ਹਾਂ ਦੋ ਤਹਿਸੀਲਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਬਹੁਗਿਣਤੀ ਸੀ ।ਸੋ ਸਿੱਖ ਰਾਜ ਬਾਰੇ ਅੰਗਰੇਜ਼ਾਂ ਨੇ ਸੋਚਿਆ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ ।

1947ਚ ਬਲਦੇਵ ਸਿੰਘ ਵਲੋਂ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿੱਖ ਹੋਮ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਫੈਕਟਰੀਆਂ ਬਚਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਫਿਰ ਉਹ ਫੈਕਟਰੀਆਂ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੇ ਲੈਣੀਆਂ ਸੀ।

ਸਮੇਂ ਸਮੇਂ ਦੇ ਸਿਆਸਤਦਾਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਵਧੀਆ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਗੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਣ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ ਰਵੀ ਇੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਵਰਗੇ ਸੱਚੇ ਸੁੱਚੇ ਵਿਅਕਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਗੇ ਆਉਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਸੀ

Tara singh belonged to Hardiyal,Teh.Gujarkhan,Distt.Rawalpindi.He returned to his village after partition alongwith his daughter.He was welcomed by the village fellows.His daughter wished to climb on a swing as she used to do before partition.A swing was prepared.She enjoyed the swing for a while and left it.She huged her father crying and said in Potohari"Bawa kay kari choria e.Piyar karnday alay lokaan soon assan ki pichardi choria e".Tara Singh replied with wet eyes"Putra Mahday si ghalti hoye gai".This was narrated by Raja Naseer Sab,a student of Tara Singh and village fellow.

ਐਡੀ ਵੀ ਵੱਡੀ ਮਹਾਨਤਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਟਾਟਾ ਦੀ। ਦਰਅਸਲ ਪੁਰਾਣੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਵਿਚ ਟਾਟਾ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਦੇ ਇਕ ਮੁੰਡੇ ਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਜੌ ਕਿ 17% ਬਣਦਾ ਸੀ ਓਹ ਸ਼ਪੂਰਜੀ ਪਲੋਨਜੀ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਚ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਅੱਗੇ ਕੋਈ ਹੋਰ ਨਾ ਵੇਚ ਜਾਵੇ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਗਰੁੱਪ ਦੀ ਮਲਕੀਅਤ ਇਕ ਟਰੱਸਟ ਵਿਚ ਪਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਹੁਣ ਟਰੱਸਟ ਨੂੰ ਟੈਕਸ ਨਾ ਪਵੇ ਇਕ ਲਈ ਡੋਨੇਸ਼ਨ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
