Hey everyone.
It's the Dee twins!
Today we thought we could share our little experience trying some yummy Aussie snacks for the first time and recording our reaction.
Needless to say, trying snacks is a whole bunch of fun and we totally enjoyed it! Hope you did too.
If anyone would like to give us suggestions for a next tasting video, please feel free to do so below.
There is just so much more to come and we are happy to keep snacking and keep you entertained.
Bye for now xo

In Australia what we call biscuits you referred to as cookies. ANZAC biscuits were first sent to our soldiers whilst they were fighting in WWI so they had to last.

Violet Crumble was first made by Hoadley's Confectionery from Melbourne, and the chocolate covered honeycomb was a favourite of Mr Hoadley's wife Violet. It has always been packaged in a purple wrapper. Nestle bought the rights but eventually sold the intellectual property rights to Menz Confectionery of Adelaide in South Australia.

Unfortunately, no one has told you about the best way to first try Vegemite. You need hot toast smothered with butter NOT margarine and then with a small amount on the tip of the knife and spread it very sparingly over the entire toast. A little goes along way. Only an experienced person would try eating it from a spoon. It is great with a sharp tasty cheese in a sandwich. It is a great flavour enhancer for gravies, stews and casseroles. Hope you decide to try it again, but the correct way.

The man who created the Violet Crumble wanted to honour his wife. Her favourite colour was purple and her favourite flower was the violet so he named the chocolate bar the Violet Crumble, as Crumble on its own could not be trademarked.
