I think Nextdoor is doing a great job for looking out for everyone and everything 😂😂😂😂 I would prefer to help animals The more I get to know people in general the more I want to stay away😂😂

I try to be patient and kind with the people I casually encounter every day: compliment people; let people in on the road; let people in front of you in line; be patient with the elderly, etc.

I think one of the best ways to make the world a better place is to be a good listener every day. So many people need to tell their story but have no one who is interested. That’s too bad bc my parents taught me that listening is more than hearing. It’s support and caring and empathy and it can change the world ❤

Compliment a stranger. It's so easy to be negative. Take that energy and make someone's day. My birthday was yesterday and I asked for all my friends to do something good for somebody. Not only will it make their day, it'll make your day too.

I am actually attending orientation to volunteer at my local animal shelter next week. My life right now doesn’t allow me to have a pet of my own, but I want to help others find their forever pet(s). Selfishly, I can also fill the void in my life. 😻🐶

When I was a teenager in a new huge high school, I came home one day in tears…when my Mom asked what was wrong, I said ‘I don’t have any friends’….she said ‘well that is hard, but friends aren’t going to come knocking on your door… you have to be a friend to have a friend’…meaning sometimes you have to reach out to people first. I’ve never forgotten that ❤

I agree about community...my family is gone and neighbors watching out for me a little now that I'm old....so nice.

My sweet granddaughter used to always compliment strangers, on their clothes, or make up or anything that she liked about them. She has passed on at the age of 23, almost 24. But I am so impressed with her insight into feelings of others that it was a true lesson for me! I try to be kind and compliment strangers when I can. It's easy to be kind to others if you just give it a try. Be considerate of others always, especially on the road! Always love thy neighbor and live by the golden rule!

I love this question. I have two things that I do regularly, and they're related to both of yours. The first is that when someone I love crosses my mind, I reach out to them. It might be a quick text or a phone call, and I find that it strengthens my relationships. The second is to lead with kindness. It can be hard to stay in a positive mindset these days, and it's something I struggle with. Being kind to someone else is one thing that really helps.

I always try to give a compliment to at least one person I come in contact with daily. Being involved within your community helps you know what is you can do to make it better. Once that is recognized then it’s time to get moving and doing your part. From personal experience once you’re involved you find your people. Most people that do this have a common interest and common goal for the community you live in.

I talk to total strangers all the time. And if somebody has on perfume I like or shoes I like or whatever I just say I really like your perfume. I love those shoes. Doesn’t cost anything to be nice to people. Love Tim’s face in the thumbnail very funny. I bet that fruit crumble would be amazing with just a little bit of vanilla ice cream on top while it’s warm. Oh, now I’m drooling lol

I totally agree with you about a loss of community. Thankfully I live in a neighborhood with good neighbors. Otherwise I think most people are too independent, and downright selfish. There are actually many good days each month that I always post on Facebook. They revolve around kindness, helping, etc.

The raspberry and peach warmed up looked so good. I bet it would be even better with a scoop of vanilla icecream. Thanks Katie. I liked the idea of just being more of a community, help your neighbors and be kind everyone could use that. The stresses of today's world are high.

To answer the question, I think we can try to close the divide we seem to have by going back to square one and seeing where we can agree, and then go from there instead of always talking about what people don’t agree on. And then build on it with positives. Take the focus off the negative. I believe in manifesting and the law of attraction. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Sounds easy, right? 🤣

Living in a high rise in Long Beach I try hard to get to know people. Walking my dog, talk to people. Neighbors are important and we are all better with people.

They were Golden Crumbles and we used to sell them for fundraisers. I can't wait to try them.

The p.nut butter candies reminded me if the old fashioned peanut butter bars. They were small white candies that had stripes and peanut butter mixed into the sheet like hard candy.

Hi, guys! I really love your question of the week! Something I think anyone can do to make the world a better place is treat everyone the way they want to be treated. It’s simple and to the point. When you remember to act with kindness, anyone you come in contact with will have a better day because you took the time to think about how they feel and what they might be going through in life. Taking the time to be considerate and compassionate can go such a long way.

My personal philosophy is to always be kind. You don't know what the other person is dealing with in their life, so treat them kindly and respectfully. This is especially true for how you treat people in service industries; wait staff, cashiers, repair people, housekeepers, etc. Always be kind and respectful.

lol I’m sorry, Tim was so funny trying the shrimp pasta and cheese, you took one for the team. I agree about the community, very few people in our neighborhood will even smile, let alone speak. Tim: This tortilla isn't at all spicy. (Guzzles almost a whole glass of water) Okay, the tortilla has a little spice. Bet those crackers would be good with burrata or goat cheese. Sounds like the Green Tea & Yuzu spread would be great mixed with whipped cream cheese or mascarpone; as is spread on bagels or crackers or lighten w/milk to make fruit dip consistency. Tim has the right idea - those peanut pillows need chocolate. Maybe toss some chocolate chips or semi-sweet chunks in the bag.

Rescue & adopt pets rather than buying from breeders ❤🐱🐶 & also commit to them for life. Thank you!

Avocado toast with that green tea and yuzu jam sounds amazing. I normally do avocado toaste with pomegranate; great combination.

I hope you enjoyed Alaska and your cruise! The weather was great. I was on your cruise. I saw Tim on the first day at sea. We were in the coffee shop line together. I was with my granddaughter and probably kept staring as he was ordering and waiting for his drink. I am Hawaiian and every Friday, I volunteer at the a local restaurant every Thursday and we cook for seniors in the area. And Friday night it's playing our ukulele and have pot dinner in the local park and help anyone who wants to learn to play the ukulele. In Hawai'i we malam pone to each other and I only translation, I give we care so much about you, please take care of yourself .And we always Aloha Hawai'i and every sings and teaching to song my kids when we're little

Is that Tim singing the video theme song? I try to do three things every day that might improve someone else's day: remove a nail or screw from the road, pick up trash, move someone's newspaper away from the sprinklers, report pot holes.

Cats in the house is a good thing, because they run away bad spirits. By your cat jumping on you, was protecting you. Keep your bedroom door open don’t close it. Burn White Sage in your room and house have a window or windows open, so that bad spirit who was on you or spirits can leave. All is well, thank your cat and don’t show favoritism to the other cat.

I love mushrooms and thoroughly dislike truffle.

What about the garlic spreadable cheese. The Aloulette garlic cheese

Those pillow candies look like what my gramma had in her candy dish but, it didn’t taste quite like what I remember. They are too sweet and I can’t taste the peanut butter flavor. I was disappointed. They are okay but not what I wanted and hoped for.

To give it an honest review, you needed to eat the Habenaro tortillas by themselves, without the cheese.

I agree that we need to redevelop a sense of community. Maybe we need to be more selfless by making certain others feel part of our community no matter what generation they belong to or what their abikities are.

I have always believed if EVERYONE treated other people and animals how they want to be treated, it would solve a plethora of the World's problems.Maybe that sounds over simplified but I think it would really make a difference.

To answer your question, I am a Restorative and healing circle facilitator. I love being able to facilitate conversations with community members and the people around the country. Everyone has a voice and everyone deserves to be heard. I believe just healing a little helps a lot.

I had a big fear of cats as a child. My fear is not as strong but I’m still cautious. I thinks it’s because my neighbor who was an elderly woman, would have scratches from her many cats all over her arms regularly.
