I recently inherited a Tascam 38. I completely cleaned out motors installed new bearings, tore down everything except Calibrating I don't have the equipment for that but everything seems to be working good I haven't tested because as I said It came to me as an inheritance so I don't know anything about connecting it. I was hoping you could make video on that. I am not a Musician only interested on recording albums on reel and playing back, basically like you did in video

Nice video.... however (and for people like me who just got one ) would be nice if you had cover the back of the unit and what wires are needed to record/playback....I dont have any wires only a remote control, so would be really nice that oone demo would show the back of the unit with all connections. Thanks.

hi to all i been working on many more of this model they are about 40 years old and i am find there's started getting bad breaks opening up not the end of the deck i find pcb way pcb new power dealing with the motors and coils and a mini pie computer in side will fix do away with the old dying main pcb the new reel to reel deck that cost 25.000 is this with a new mini computer in side

hi have work on this model myself i have alot beware to all out there i have mk1 mk2 deck s , they look the same beware of the audio mum pcb and audio cards somedeck i have fold some body put not right audio cards for right mum board i fond alot of burn outs in the record sides one line is the plans for the mk1 audio cards alot of the decks out there are mk2 if any body has the mk2 audio card plans it would help to all the tascam 38 terc's
