Clearly needed to play with him more as a kid cuz i hadn't any clue. I recall some weird after image technique in tekken 3

Yoshimitsu is the definition of "if i don't know what im doing, they won't know what am i gonna do"

Fun Fact: Tekken 4 is the only game in the series that granted Yoshimitsu the ability to copy the movements of other fighters via Soul Stealer.

Unoriginal Moniker he would be really good depending on the character you're playing against.

You know what the beauty of Yoshimitsu TAS is? I have ALWAYS imagined him to move/act like this canonically.

Anyone noticed that whenever Yoshimitsu healed at 3:27, 4:07, & 9:32, the crowd cheers loudly. They also cheer not just when the opponent gets hit with a spark but healing as well.

So when Yoshimitsu is in Christie's Negativa stance, he can breathe out a poison mist, that's a nice little reference to Dr B from Tekken 3, I never noticed that until now.

Totally agree. Really wish Namco designers would go for the mechanical undead ninja design for his costume in the next installment, instead of the weird alien looking design. Namco should put all his old costumes in Tekken 7 as DLC.

Tekken 3's default was his worst outfit imo, next to the Tekken 7 one. Highly overrated too. I did like his 2P outfit in Tekken 3 though.

Other characters on TAS: "I'm going to instantly murder them." Yoshimitsu on TAS: "I'm about to ruin this man's whole career."

the artwork of yoshi holding his sword out, riding atop the horse at sunset has to be one of the sickest renditions. images that go hard as hell older video but i always love your yoshi tas. thanks for all the videos :)

Yeah that artwork is badass. This whole game’s art design is so memorable

Tekken 4 was something special, the stages, the music, some of the outfits, and this here Yoshimitsu. This was definitely high up there as one of my favorites with T3. T8 looks like they're actually making him look similar to his T3 design and that's a bonus. Love your vids and the Hara-kiri spin is a bonus, a definite rub it in your opponents face they lost experience.

Oh how I miss the original voice over of, Heihachi Mishima. RIP Daisuke Gori.

Brought back so many memories. I remember being so happy after beating the game as Yoshimitsu and the video at the end made it seem even cooler

I don't know why most of the outfits of this game has been eliminated in other tekken. Very long haired hwoarang in TKD uniform > standard hwoarang in TKD uniform. Also G2 military hwoarang is awesome with that hairs. Also Yoshimitsu is awesome. I love Paul with flowing hairs physics. Hooded Jin is a pearl that they continue to use in Jin design nowadays

I totally agree . I love Hwoarang in Tekken 4 Taekwondo uniform , he looks best 👍🏻. This uniform makes him look real Taekwondo practitioner 🥋 ( and it also looks like WTF Taekwondo uniform too , very Korean 🇰🇷 ) . I don’t know why they aren’t bring it back 🤔. They should bring it back or at least as customization items . 🧳

@@Nastuf i ask because it's not true. None of those get anymore attention than most others. It's Ling Xiaoyu, Alisa and Kazumi that get any development. And all three of those are also tied to the Mishimas in some way, shape or form.

This is really impressive man, I came for the nostalgia but stayed for the absolute beast of a gameplay

"ONORE, YOSHIMITSU!!" XD Was awesome to see the soul steal copycat abilities... notice it happens only when his sword is red that he can emulate others' moves.

The only character to change his entire appearance in every game. Which almost changes his playstyle up too. But not by much

I LOVED Tekken 4 reminds me of the great years in 2002 in Seattle...

If someone in real life is going to play like how TAS Yoshimitsu played here, we might get a lot of salt covering around the world

Well there is a way you can play him! Honestly haven't seen a lot of this stuff before, very creative in the right hands (or even if tool assisted)! I wish they made good use of him in the movie!

I feel like T4 is a mega outlier in this series. I never got to play it, but it just seems like this was an entirely different development team and they decided they wanted to push the boundaries of what the franchise had been so far. Like they really poured their ideas into this one.

leonard villiers In Tekken 4 only, Yoshimitsu can copy certain moves from other characters. This can be done by using Soul Stealer (Square + O). If his sword changes to a red color, do Soul Stealer again, and he will perform the copied move. Note that he can only copy certain moves and cannot copy his own, and to copy a move, the player will have to time it with the move that your opponent has performed.

Does anyone actually prefer the low parry system from TTT and T4? As in, when you low parry successfully you get huge frame advantage instead of putting the opponent in a bound. In TTT it was possible to get guaranteed twin piston after low parry with Heihachi, so it has to give at least +13. It was probably a good thing that low parries don't lead to full combos though. Might want to keep that part of the change.
