Love watching your TAS videos, can't wait for the True Ogre one.

And to think that Paul defeated the God of Fighting in his base form during the third tournament. It's a shame he jumped the gun and left right after his victory, though; otherwise, defeating True Ogre would have been an even better achievement for Mr. Phoenix to acquire under his belt.

Not that I'm a Paul fan, but I never understood why he became an in-universe joke character. Fought Kazuya to a draw in a fight that went for hours in the first tournament, was going to be in the finals of the second tournament, and beat Heihachi, Jin, and Ogre in the third tournament. I think he's the only non-Mishima in the franchise who doesn't have a losing record against that family.

@@melvinshine9841 Did he beat Jin? There's no official tournament bracket but it's apparent that anyone would eventually have to fight Heihachi. I don't see where Jin falls into all of that though. Is it based around who progresses faster?

He was very easy to beat because his hitbox were so huge especially true ogre

Gun Jack got done dirty. Ogre didn't even break a sweat!

Waning Moon was so strong in this game. A move fitting of the God of Fighting, no doubt. Ogre was an absolute monster when it came to both gameplay and the original trilogy's story. In addition to his own power, he had moves from Lee, Armor King, Anna and Wang, just to name a few, in addition to his own style. It's hard to believe that he is completely gone from the series if he was capable of so much... Maybe when Jun comes back there will be some insight on what Ogre truly was.

The characters Ogre copied their moves already returned to the franchise so yeah (Jun being replaced with Asuka at that time).

Ogre was the (Inca or something) God of fighting. Using it's supposed essence, Heihachi probably had his team make a clone of it. And because it was just that, a clone, Jin was able to defeat it (or maybe his Devil gene kicked in) and it got destroyed because of Jin's relentless assault. Jun knew it was a malevolent force because it wasn't a pure life form. Like her, Ogre gained a lot of abilities from various fighters it defeated. With the retcon of Jun in Tekken 8, we can presume she didn't die and managed to escape and was left for dead instead.

Opponent Ogre taking that kick in the ass at the end of the first round is what made this whole TAS for me

@@saalimkhan2752 chicken is one of expert move in game Every character can use it. When a characters (Asuka, paul, nina) use back 3+4 other can break it with forwars 3+4. If it happens we hear chicken Sound. Sound added in tekken tag 1.

Come to think of it.. isn't he using one of Wang's grabs and some of Baek's kicks? I'm used to the move set stealing fighters stealing from the characters that are actually IN that Tekken game lol. Like Combot and Mokujin do AND he used Kazuya's rib shot stun punch. Okay now I feel dumb. I never noticed his style was a mash up of Tekken 2 move sets lol. I never played much Tekken 3 tbh

In the tekken 3 story.. the characters you mentioned all went missing. How? Likely killed or consumed by ogre..but they came back to life in tekken 5 because of failure of tekken 4 I believe?

@@daedrascrolls Yes. Oddly enough, he also some moves from Armor King and Anna Williams, both of whom were clearly alive and present (Anna even being playable) during the time of Tekken 3. I suppose we could overlook these inconsistencies by imagining that Ogre got those moves by attacking other unknown martial artists who practiced similar fighting styles. After all, in TTT2, Ogre and True Ogre have even more moves from existing characters, many of whom appeared in the series after Ogre was already 'killed' (such as Bob, Marduk, etc.).

I always wondered what that "pose" move did in Tag 2, and it's apparently some kind of counter I guess. Somehow, I never really thought about broken it is that Ogre has a move where the first hit is blockable, while the second hit isn't, and it launches. I known about it for years but, somehow, never consciously thought about how insane that is.

Fucked Up Personal Head Canon: 4:18: This is the move that Ogre uses to claim the head of opponents. Ogre holding a severed head can be seen in Tekken 3's Arcade intro.
