eh, its pretty good, i liked it overall but really disliked the controls. like the walking around in dungeon mode you don't need that split second pause to change directions. the lack of invunrablitiy frames can also end badly if you are not careful.

I hear a lot of the hate came from the mechanics change, which I get but disagree with, but also the campiness of the story. But I was a kid once and camp was the flavor of the week.

if ever there was a series that deserved to be Remastered, THESE would be it. it also deserves a third installment!

Ahh, this was a great game. They improved on the first game in every measurable way. I spent a lot of time playing and replaying it back in the day. I still love the Zoda boss theme! Watching you suddenly turn into a pig and hit the dragon with your teleporting attacks cracked me up at the end.

Been playing this game sense I was 11, and I finally beat it at 29. Great job TAS, show me how much I sucked as a kid.

It’s the second to last NES game if I’m not mistaken. This and Star Tropics 1 are both excellent games.

Odd, I completed Star Tropics 2 long before I could complete Star Tropics 1 in any legitimate fashion. I came back to Star Tropics 1 as an adult and smoked the final boss with little trouble. I remember it being a tough challenge.

Mike apparently faces "pigward" to throw attacks. You face this direction by pressing up, down, and left at the same time.
