Startropics as a Nintendo series should of gone somewhere... There should be a retro sequel for this.

Funny someone said something about Mike killing all those animals. StarTropics 1 & 2 both predominantly take place in what appears to be natural habitats for most monsters and animals and here is Mike just murdering them all. Doubly so for the first one, where you are literally killing Dodo birds.

I noticed in the video there was a lot of audible comments saying that viewers never heard there was a sequel. I remember being a kid playing Zoda's Revenge. Then I got Startropics for my birthday, and my uncle pointed out that Zoda's revenge said Startropics II in small print, and I was so psyched to see that it was the original game. That was awesome. IMO, Startropics is more difficult. Both are good games. I just beat Zoda's Revenge again today.

Has anyone who played this game ever experienced a glitch where Mike travels backwards instead of to the next level? My friend and I both had copies of this game as kids and the game would sometimes send us back to the pre-historic world after recovering a tetrad. Haven't heard about anyone else experiencing that and to this day we have no clue why.

Kind of a bad runner. He didn't really explain anything. He didn't even talk about how the last dungeon is a remix version of the first level of the first game.

I always thought the sound design and music was better in Startropics 1.

This was awesome. This was one my favorite games as a kid. Still is. I just never got to beat it.

The mine one was the hardest for me as a kid, not just with the boss, but finding the fucking entrance to the mine.
