It's the least the developers could do was make awesome music. If you're a human playing this, you're very likely going to hear it over and over again.

Even after all these years, I'm still astounded at how good the music is in this game. If I dodn't know any better and I was told this was some bouncy techno hit from the 80's, I'd totally believe it. The quality of these tracks are exquisite. Gotta give major props to Tim Follin!

I just learned some shmups enforce that, as in dynamic difficulty increases with the shots fired and enemies killed, resulting in 1CC/TAS gameplay getting more benevolent patterns than the average player

This game is so hard, it would actually be easier to go outside in a thunderstorm and try to dodge rain. It would be easier to walk barefoot without your toes or heels touching the floor. It would be easier to pick fly shit outta pepper... while wearing boxing gloves! The fact that you can get hit only once pretty much means that you're weaker than every other enemy in the game. HOW DO YOU DIE... FROM JUST TOUCHING A WALL!? I can understand if he's flying at, like 200MPH and he crashes into the wall, but the fact that he just 'touches' the wall and dies is just ridiculous!

There's a certain satisfaction in seeing poorly developed games receive Tool Assisted Speedruns. It feels like justice to witness these games being played to their full potential.

Even though Pacifist runs are always impressive to watch, I still find 100% kills runs more satisfying. There's something about letting enemies go that I can't quite describe, but it leaves me with an "unfinished business" aftertaste if that makes any sense!

TAS videos are not only perfect playthroughs, they must also be entertaining. If it moved only when necesary nobody would want to watch it.

So this is the game about avoiding obstacles and enemies

It they spent half as much effort on the game as they did the bangin soundtrack this could've been fun.

This music is kick ass

They would need to add NUMEROUS upgrades, such a health bar (5 hits to start), no more death on collisions, different weapons, screen-clearing bombs, less random enemy patterns, checkpoints, actual challenging bosses with health bars and a true ending. Yeah, Silver Surfer is a slave to Galactus, so him destroying the machine sorta makes sense. However, if in each level, there is something for the Surfer to collect so he could rebel against Galactus, that would help.

I'd say as a Remaster, it NEEDS to stay 8-bit, so basically give it a more modern retro style. Cause only then can we have Tim's god-tier talent for music.

This game is all right. The music is kick-ass. But it's too easy. I beat it the first time I played it with the Power Glove.

graphically the game looks great for nes era, the soundtrack is fantastic but man they really made the gameplay unfun lack of autofire, terrain being a instakill along with anything else, and these combined with catastrophically brutal level design choices (for example firelord stage 2, possessor stage 2, mephisto stage 1) i played this game through on emulator years ago using a fuckton of savestates and the only factor that made it easier was staying alive with all the shot upgrades but even then if you died some of the checkpoints you respawned from were impossible to survive without said upgrades

I hear that this was an easy game. (Not!)

Should have been called Silver Surfer pacifist run
