====Description==== Golgo 13 is a trilogy of lightgun games developed by Eighting and Raizing and published by Namco. They are based on the manga of same name, following the adventures of Duke Togo/Golgo 13, a skilled hitman, as he takes on various different assignments. Golgo 13 is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Takao Saito, published in Shogakukan's seinen manga magazine Big Comic since October 1968. The series follows the title character, a professional assassin for hire. Golgo 13 is the oldest manga still in publication, and its tankōbon edition was certified by Guinness World Records as the highest number of volumes for a manga series. Namco and Eighting/Raizing developed three lightgun arcade games, similar to the Silent Scope series, but with a few differences. The rifle only contained a magnifying lens, not a small monitor like Silent Scope. The screen itself would close up on the target only when the sensor on the underside of the rifle base was activated by the player leaning their shoulder into it. Each mission was preceded by an eight- to ten-panel manga briefing. It is 126,970 more points. -I'm sure there are shots that could be done earlier for more points for time. -I didn't find the place to get 1000 points for each stage. But that doesn't necessarily mean there aren't any, it might just take someone more patient than me. Is it possible that the reason it's so hard for you to find 1000-point shots is insufficient emulator input precision, preventing you from getting the EXACT correct positioning? Just a guess; I find it unlikely, but worth a look.

Good question, but if I'm not mistaken, the Lightgun XY ports are 16-bit ports and the values I feed to MAME are between -65536 and +65536 (which is double what it should). So I guess all is well on that front. If we had videos of the real machine we could possibly deduce something, but all the videos I found on YT are from emulators. What I think is that maybe it's because the target is in 3D and if the spot is small it might not even be the size of a pixel. Some of the stages I didn't get 1000 for had smaller targets than usual (stages 2, 8 and 17).
