I love how the choreography kinda tells a story. In the game's lore these two characters have a contentious relationship and it really comes through in this match. Like, Geese is all, "Come at me, you little weakling." And Rock is giving it his all and just barely manages to pull a win. The subtly is there and it's fantastic! ❤❤❤

This was the most anime thing I've seen from the CVS2 TAS videos besides Shin Akuma vs. Ultimate Rugal. The struggle of a kind-hearted boy having to face the cold-blooded father he never knew, using techniques from both said father and his mentor. Starting with an epic intro of "Why is my blood boiling?!" "Come on.....", then leading into a series of DBZ-style dodges, flurry attacks, cross-ups galore, intense blocking skills, and reppuukens that have an intermission in the form of a double KO. Add some Ultra Instinct nonsense at the end from Rock parrying every single attack like it's EVO Moment 37, and this is peak anime. I love these videos so much.

This was a truly spectacular tool-assisted 1-on-1 battle to behold! First time watching, I was cheering for Rock from start to finish! If this were an episode of KOF: Destiny in which Rock fights his own father's nightmare, this is how I would hope for it to turn out!

Since most of the grooves were from old fighting games. 3 from Capcom Side: C-Groove, A-Groove, and P-Groove cause you know CAP lol 3 from SNK side: S-Groove, N-Groove, and K-Groove again SNK. C-Groove is pretty much like Street Fighter Alpha Super Meter A-Groove is like Street Fighter Alpha 2 because it let's you do custom combos P-Groove is basically Street Fighter 3 super except you can't stack supers or use EX moves. I know little to nothing about the SNK grooves.

S-Groove is basically playing KoF94, you have a sidestep dodge and can't use MAX supers unless you have low health and a full meter at the same time N-Groove works similarly to 97's Advanced mode, you can charge up to 3 stocks and enter MAX mode to access your MAX supers. You can also roll K-Groove is a mix of Samurai Shodown's rage system where you gain meter by getting hit with some of Garou MotW's mechanics like just defended which works sort of like a party except you regain a minimal amount of health

Rock is programmed to finish like that if his final move is one from Geese. He also has a wing ending if it's one of terry's moves

If I remember correctly the jacket toss is scripted to happen off of a shining knuckle finish. Dunno if it needs to be lv3 or not, as I ran k groove back in the day and never saw otherwise...
