[TAS] Final Enigma -
Hello everyone, last year in 2021 I published a TAS video on Final Enigma, it seemed pretty good at the time and I thought it was done, but I recently had the idea to see if it was improvable by any chance, turns out it was in the first few seconds as I only played on keyboard and not controller. I managed to optimize quite a bit actually and made sure to often use bruteforce to keep things fast.
Also thanks to SkyCrafter for helping out with the high quality video and higher resolution.
Some information about how long it took to finish, this TAS took about 2 weeks and 4 days to finish. (I tried my best to avoid using anything to redirect the uber but struggled with the angle I kept getting)
Not much else to say honestly, I planned to have a cool ending where I explained nearly all the details but sometimes that just doesn't get included.

fun fact: the uber end cut is prob easier than going the intended way RTA

@@Eta_Bokas_slave It's because these are Tool Assisted Speedruns, and those runs are not allowed on leaderboards. Only replays done by humans are allowed.

Thank you, it might be done in a few years, and also I tried to adjust the uber setup to fly straight into the finish but that didn't work too well unfortunately so I had to improvise a bit.

Lol, yeah, noseboost TASes are pretty common now, I feel that soon there will be more noseboost TASes than there are normal TASes
At 1:08 can't you just hit the brakes a bit to avoid having to respawn? Or does that just not save time?

To be fair I actually tried it and I do believe a respawn is required to have the best setup for the drop.

@@flapflapp Well, I'm soon planning on making a simple "Bare minimum" TAS on Sunset Overdrive for Mudda as he's considering playing it if he see's what a human could technically do. This means no speed drifting everywhere and only using it in parts of the map that need you to SD.
Beautiful TAS. Be real how many hours of work did it take to craft this run?

Well, the run took about 2 weeks 4 days so that would be 432 hours, but if you don't take into account for sleep hours, it would be way less (And right now I'm too lazy to calculate that, sorry)

Not all questions are dumb, I don't know if Final Enigma or other really tough maps like The Possible 7 and AfterGlow has been or will be built in the newer games. And I'm sure few people would play them considering the level of difficulty they contain.

How much of this was the intended route and how much wasn't? It is hard to tell on this map 😅

the immediate drive to CP1 is a shortcut, not intended, the grass-slide cut (1:40) is not intended either, it was actually discovered by Kimura. Engine off to CP7 is not intended, as you're supposed to be turtled (watch final enigma gps segmented on youtube). And finally, the ending, the uberbug into the finish is hopefully obvious to not be intended. (Also watch the segmented ending on youtube)
