For a fact, the distortion the sprites suffers during the space-time warps are really pleasing.

Egix Itchiford Sonic was never a well coded series (but the Genesis games were definitely more playable and stable looking than Adventure 1, especially DX). It’s a miracle the first game even works with unfixed illegal instructions.
