Today, Tarja reveals the third single from her brand new live-art-album & video “Act II”. The enchanting live version of “Victim Of Ritual” stems from the bombastic live performance at Woodstock, Poland. Having a capacity for 700,000 people, Woodstock remains one of the most iconic and gigantic festivals today. The powerful vibrations of thousands of fans coming together to celebrate their favourite musical heroes was perfectly captured during this very special Tarja performance. With its flow of range and variance “Victim of Ritual” once again shows why the singer is one of the most renowned Symphonic Metal artists. The song, originally from her worldwide chart success “Colours In The Dark”, gives a powerful taste of the forthcoming live release and can be found exclusively as bonus material on the mediabook of “Act II”.

“Act II”, the follow up to Tarja’s worldwide Top 10 chart success, combines two incredible, yet slightly different live performances on video:
The first chapter, “Metropolis Alive”, has been filmed two months prior to the release of Tarja’s 2016 success “The Shadow Self” in an intimate surrounding at renowned Metropolis Studios in London, UK. “Act II’s” second chapter has been recorded on November 29th, 2016 at the magnificent Teatro della Luna in Milan, Italy and includes numerous hits from all four Tarja albums.
Even though the shows deliberately differ in look, sound, approach to the music and adrenalin, both have one thing in common: from the very first to the very last tune, the state of the art production displays Tarja’s energetic performance and her graceful, charming presence.
“Act II” is going to be released on July 27th, 2018 on earMUSIC as 2CD digipak, 3LP Gatefold (180g, black), 2DVD, Blu-ray, Limited Mediabook 2CD+2BD (incl. two full live shows filmed at Woodstock Festival in Poland and Hellfest in France as bonus) and Digital.

Always impressive when that happens. A lot more people can sound good when they can do 7 takes in the studio. Doing it live in one take is when you see the true talent.
I don't know what impresses me the most: her power house voice, or the fact she's dancing in a floor length ballgown, complete with corset and stilettos.

Not much more I can say about Tarja and her performance here. Just can't get enough of the cello player, bobbing his head up and down, almost like he's going to headbang the instrument.. 😂 😂
Tarja ist so charismatisch
She will always be the best for me. Her voice basically determined what music I would listen to for the rest of my life. I also really like her personality, she is so charismatic. She never ceases to amaze me.

Most lead vocals can't separate their style from the band they used to sing for when they part. But Tarja does it - and well!

Woodstock knows how to support Tarja. Also summerbreeze don’t forget them either. If I was there I’ll go crazy any freaking concerts. I don’t know why crowds in a metal band are dying down and not becoming as aggressive as they used to be.

Still remember the day -in 2004- when I listened to my FIRST METAL SONG, The Kinslayer(live) from Nightwish. That day and this woman changed my life forever, I'm a metalhead and proud of it in every second of my life. Doesn't matter in which band she sings, she is always one of the best vocals on this world. Carry on Tarja.

She's one of, maybe the best Soprano Metal Vocalist we've ever heard, and, moreover, she is a very beautiful person. Some people don't like her classical voice on Metal Music, everyone to his own tastes. What I love, in addition to her beautiful person, is that she made the choice to explore Metal with the incredibly brilliant voice of the Nightwish bassist, and to create something different, something that 99.9% musicians of the planet (including France) is unable do. Remember, we are actually living in the era of "copy and paste". I say it loud and clear": Tarja! Keep on going ! and climb as high as possible, you can do it, keep playing your difference, with or without Nightwish! ". wow it's amazing what 4 yrs can do, if you watch this song in 2014 it's nice, but not as strong as this one, to me this is the best performance of this song. She really has grown as a performer of her solo stuff.
