Targeting BIG Fish W/ Livescope (How to Find/Catch BIG Walleyes & Pike on Jigging Raps & Swimbaits)
Ойын-сауық
My wife and I took a vacation to one of my favorite bodies of water for big fish - Rainy Lake. We had incredible accommodations at Sunset country outfitters and caught a ton of big fish. On this third and final morning, I set out to target BIG walleyes and pike and did just that. In this video I show you how I go about targeting the biggest fish in the lake. Thanks for watching!

You're doing a great job with these videos. They are entertaining and educational. You're going to be the next tom boley if you keep at it. It would be nice to see some side imaging if you even use that, or do you just scan for fish with a livescope?

Those are incredibly kind words, Tyler! Tom Boley is in a class of his own no doubt! On this trip, I honestly hardly used my side imaging because it is so rocky that it isn’t easy to differentiate fish from the rocks and it’s much more efficient to use Livescope when I’m scanning isolated humps. I use it a lot more on sandy or muddy areas to cover ground. Definitely bored and will try to include that anytime I use it!

Love to see how guys like yourself, Tom Boley, Clayton Schick and Jay Siemens stack up against the guys on the NWT Tour Gold! Make it happen 😏

1 - Even being mentioned in the same sentence as Tom Boley, Clayton Schick, and Jay Siemens is an honor! Those guys are incredible. 2 - That would be awesome! I can’t speak for anyone else, but I have a feeling those guys would wipe up! They are next level anglers, and the networks they have is impressive! Would be fun to be a co angler one year to experience it all!
Just got back from Rainy today. Crushed the walleyes yesterday on jerkbaits, 2 dozen over 20" and a 41.5" pike. Watching them come up 8+ feet for a jerkbait is insane.

What’s your experience with heavy weed lakes and livescope I fish the Kawartha’s in Canada ontario and they are relatively shallow and have heavy weeds. Would you use livescope as more a tool to help find areas that would hold fish or are you still using it to sharpshooter fish ? Thanks love the channel !

Appreciate the kind words!! I have actually been doing that a lot more lately and have found some big walleyes doing that! Would love to make a video showing it. I typically look for blobs of movement within the weeds to be able to identify fish.

I notice you don’t have a titanium leader on the bigger swimbait. Do you not usually get bit off? Is the light fluorocarbon leader enough?
@tjsguideservice
Жыл бұрын
This one has a 20lb fluorocarbon leader. I also use it for bigger walleyes, so I want to still use fluorocarbon. I will still get bit off once in a while, but honestly doesn’t happen much!

That is a sunshield by Arclab and it is great! Love it for reducing glare, especially when filming! Here is the link: arclab-motorsport-fabrication.myshopify.com/products/screen-visor
