    The absolute best and most important factor you can find on mn dnr lakefinder is it tells you maximum depth of plant growth. If it's 11ft, depth highlight gets set +/- a foot from that depth. If it's 7feet and murky, it goes +/- 1ft from that. It gives you lots of areas to find weeds rapidly.

    Amazing videos that are actually helpful. I’ve been stubbornly trying to solve a local very clear lake that I know has some decent walleye, and the weeds are already out to around 17 feet. I’m thinking about just changing to something with darker water, but I do think I’ll try looking for some deeper breaks outside of that weed edge before I give up.

    TJ, man… this is such a fun thing to watch. Most KZreadrs it’s just “insert this method” and watch catch fish which is great but does get tiresome at times surprisingly. Seeing the actual and practical information/tactical plan in real time is not only so much more enjoyable to watch… but amazingly helpful as you actually see the cause and effect take place. #1 walleye KZreadr in my opinion by far! Keep it up dude. So enjoyable to watch.

    Hey, I do love fishing jigging rap style baits but for me the durability isn't great. Here they are like $10+, the tail and nose hooks break off which isn't that big of a deal but the plastic tails also break fairly easily. Have you tried / had any success this year on Berkleys new baits like the finisher or power switch? any thoughts on those lures?

  • @tjsguideservice
    @tjsguideservice12 күн бұрын

    I would agree 100%. That’s my big knock is stuff breaking on them. And the fact that fish can come unpinned. I have tried them a little so far, but not much luck. Definitely going to be giving them more of a try this summer though! I’m also going to be trying the new jiggin rap magnum and the northland pitching puppet. Both of those have molded fins and no front hook, so should help alleviate those problem!

    I used to go hunting for pike when I was struggling to get the walleye when I first started fishing out of my boat seven years ago. Lately, they’ve been harder to target on Lake Sakakawea than walleye. So much fun when you see a 40+ pike, though! I found out from a new acquaintance from MN that it was easier to spear them here than catch them with bait. They’re more curious than hungry sometimes and a decoy is easier to get them to sit and stare for a minute. Way to put together another great video, TJ! Happy “summer” fishing!
