Target Towns: Why have people lost trust in politics?

An exclusive Sky News/YouGov poll has found people’s trust in politics is collapsing.
Figures show it’s felt particularly in the north of England where 86% of voters think politicians don't care about them.
Our People and Politics Correspondent Nick Martin has been to Grimsby, one of Sky's target towns, to find out why this is happening.

Perhaps because the public are fed up with being lied to by politicians, fed up with politicians that couldn't care less about Britain & only interested in furthering their own careers & promises made at election time that never materialise after the election has gone.

Politicians put their party before the public. Get rid of first past the post and bring in proportional representation. So many people don't bother to vote because they live in safe constituencies. EVERY vote should count. But both the 2 big parties won't bring in PR because it will make it harder for them to get into power.
