I heard that assets protection scans your face every time you’re at the self checkout. With facial recognition if your thefts break 1,000 dollars over time then they’ll come for you because they won’t try to prosecute for anything less.

Sounds good but I’m afraid that if they do lower the prices right now, they’ll raise them back up later and make them even more expensive than they are now. Big companies don’t really care about the consumer. They just want us think they care.

Target has been my favorite store for over 40 yrs. I have noticed they are reducing the number of items they sell. They did not even sell pumpkin pie. They will continue to lose customers if we have to go elsewhere for staples. They even stopped carrying the So Delicious coconut milk. Every time I go I find more items discontinued. 🥺

Lower income and senior citizen have been struggling for awhile. I think when it started effecting the middle class is when they decided to lower prices.

Was at Target yesterday. Everything I wanted to buy was about 25% more than WM for the same exact item. So if your average shopping trip is $100, that is an extra $25+. Target need to lower their prices more.

But the quality of Walmart product is not as good as Target. You get for what you pay for. Their are certain things that Target has that Walmart doesn't. I just bought a facial cleanser from Target it's was $10 but just check Walmart it was the same price so I don't know why some people complain about. It's depends on the item you bought.

They can certainly afford that with how little they pay their employees and how they cut corners. Worked at Target for a short period of time, and it was hell. Wage and hour violations, safety violations, managers physically grabbing employees and yelling at employees in front of customers, they cut our hours down to almost nothing and still expected us to complete the same workload, and "pay raises" of 8 pennies were given to all employees. Complaints to corporate went unaddressed, meaning the company endorses such behavior. Will never give my money to a company like that.....even with lower prices.

They don’t market it that way anymore for many target stores. They do market pad friendly swim suits well more towards the brand. Menstrual pads that can also be used for people with urine problems.

I've had awful experiences returning merchandise to Target so I haven't shop there in over 10 years.

I would say lower the prices on movies, but my Target doesn’t sell physical movies.

I went yesterday to Walmart and prices were 10-30% lower. I was pissed. These supermarkets have sold us products for 3 years at high prices masking them as pandemic inflation increases.

Targets clothes are overpriced and cheaply made. As I walk by the women’s section to get to the food I see $30 shirts….AS IF!!! 😂

They spent years trying to market themselves as the boujie version of Walmart. Now that people are affected by inflation and are going to Walmart, now they think lowering their boujie prices slightly will bring people back in. Don't think so. People are buying from Walmart and Amazon way more than going to bougie target.

Makes big announcement letting everyone know they are slashing prices on 5,000 items......as they quietly raise the price on the 100K other items they carry.

I agree. I don't shop at Target, but this is brilliant. Maybe other retailors that have been price gouging, & ripping off consumers since the Pandemic started, will follow suit. I hope Kroger's sees this, they jack up prices weekly for no legit reason. 😕

Depends on the store. My friend’s brother works at a target store that had record profits last year. Some of the brands being sold at target had CEO’s deemed against wokeness.
