Now this is the voltage these amps should be tested at!👍 It doesn't make sense for all those guy's doing tests starting off with 16volts😵 No car runs off of 16volts, thank you!👍👍👍

Yes, the maximum power of the MD12000 is stated at 12.6V DC.

Appreciate your videos if you get a chance to do an 8000.1 MD it would be awesome I bought one and I assume it's doing what it should cause taramps usually does and I keep getting told different answers on if it's half ohm stable

We would like to offer it in the 1 Ohm version, but our MD 12000.1 is only in the 0.5 Ohm version. The 1 ohm version has been discontinued, as most projects are serviced with 0.5 ohm.

Has there been a dyno test done on the Bass 20k?

Hello Chicagofan, We still don't have a video of the BASS 20K test at Dyno.

I have two of these that were already installed in a vehicle I bought a few weeks ago and I believe one of them is bad because the clip and port lights come on, I've swapped wires from one amp to the other and the lights still come on, on that same amp that I think is bad. Both amps are powering two 15" Sunddown v.5 subs. How could I have this fixed? I'm located in southwest Florida and would like to take to a dealer if possible or I could send it out too.

I can say from personal experience my md8k did 6970 watts rms at 1.9 ohms. Subs were wired to 1 ohm and I had .9 impedance rise. Used an SMD Amm1 for my test

Show us the .5 ohm version!

Hi my taramps 12000.1 1 ohm just went into protection mode one day and I shut the car off and restart it and heard a loud "POP" the the protection light stayed on with the power lights and I only had the amp 2 months, I was driving and I'm positive the voltage didn't drop below 12.7 cause I was banging it hard, with the clip light occasionally coming on but was only for 2 minutes..... Had a taramps 3k that took way more harrassing than this, I want to buy another one but scared it's going to blow again, some dude claims he'll fix mine but wants $300 and wants me to wait 6-8 weeks for "parts" smh...

How much is the amplifier

I really need to know if the MD 8000.1 is half ohm stable you didn't test it at half ohm so I'm sure it's not but getting told two different things

Hi Victor, how are you? Our MD 8000.1 is avaliable at 1 and 2 Ohms, only the MD 12,000.1 is avaliable at 0.5 Ohms, and our Smart Bass line, multi-impedance amplifiers from 0.5 to 2 Ohms. Any question we will be pleased to help.

@@CanalTaramps k ty fr I was told when buying it it was half ohm stable should of done my homework first but I will get me a 12k soon these avatars D2 12s can take alot more than there rated power and I know with a 12k I will for sure get the sound I'm looking for ty again for all your help

@@jasonneal sure it can be done and works but why? All that extra hassle for the same results with less reliability. Why complicate the process and add cost. Amps are strong enough these days we don't need to wire 10amps to one sub, it's the other way around 🤣
