VERY well said Megan!! Maybe Air Force BMT is not as long as the other branches, but it's still a challenge!! You still need to do what you're told, when you're told!! GO AIR FORCE!!

I’d like to say congratulations on your Air man making it through BM. I know this was quite a while ago but when we join the military our live changes forever. We learn key valuable lessons that we take with us through life. I graduated BMT back in July of this year and it was the best experience I’ve ever had. However I would never want to do it again. Lol

Congratulations! My fiancés graduation is at the end of the year. I’m watching these videos because of how nervous/excited I am. I have a quick question.. How is the whole process of entering the base for parking because there may be traffic what time would you recommend to get there by?
@evandtrista
Жыл бұрын
We got there at 6:30 am. I’m pretty sure that’s what I said in the vide. There’s parking right by the bleachers. I can’t remember the exact gate we was at though. Getting there at 6 am got us great seats and also gave us room to get a perfect spot for the Airman’s run! Traffic honestly wasn’t that bad. We left at like 5:30 and got there at 6 or a little after 6. Our Airbnb was a few mins away from the Base.

Thanks so much for posting this! My husband is graduating at the end of this year. Is the spouse orientation like setting up your dependant ID card and stuff? Also is the second day a free day after the ceremony, or do you stay on base?
@evandtrista

At The spouse orientation, they went over the benefits you would get and resources for moving to different bases. It’s a lot of very useful information! The second day, we got base passes and we stayed on base with him all day! There’s plenty to do. We shopped, had dinner together, he showed us around the base and lots of family time. We got to stay on base with him from 10:30am-10pm. We also got the weekend with him on base since he was staying in Lackland for his tech school.

Hey what day was his graduation I’m confused is it’s on a Thursday or Wednesday
@evandtrista
Жыл бұрын
Wednesday is the airman’s run and coin ceremony. Everyone goes on base as early as 6 am to go watch their airman do their mile run. I forget what time it starts but I would join this facebook group to help remind you the times and many other updates on your airman’s schedule (AF WingMoms) You must go to the base before Wednesday to get your passes on base for the next 2 days, or however long you need the passes. After watching your airman do their mile, you are able to go off base with them until a certain time they have to report back. Thursday is their graduation. You will go to the parade field. Hey…I have a question about sending letters. I’ve sent some to my bf a few weeks ago, and I don’t think he received them. How to fill out his information correctly? Do you put their name first then their flight/dorm and then the address of base?
@evandtrista
Жыл бұрын
It does take a while to get to him. Sometimes they’re fast and sometimes they’re hair slower than other days. So don’t worry they will get to him at least by. 4-5 days. I wrote to my husband every day. He has TONS of letters to open which he said that helped him a BUNCH! So I definitely recommend it. There is a Facebook page I followed to keep track of his flight. It’s called AF WingMoms. They are soooo helpful. It’ll tel you each day what they should be doing! They also have info on how to set up your letters! The format should be… AB (last name, middle initial, first name) (Training squadron)/(Flight number) 1320 Truemper St. JBSA Lackland, TX 78236-6407 -- Again, I highly recommend looking at that Facebook page because they update you on EVERYTHING!!!
