We love to try and enjoy local cuisine. Tapas and Paella are delicious.

We returned from Spain (Costa Del Sol) on 21st last week, missing it already and wish we could have joined you there. Today i made us a nice big paella, accompanied by a lovely Campo Viejo Rioja.... absolutely delicious. We love tapas and our favourite is....Boquerones, at least i think that's how you spell it. Hoping to be back there late October. Loved the video! Regards, Steve & June.

Absolutely, we always eat Spanish foods while in Spain. And, by your 6th bar it seemed that those cañas were starting to take effect. Ha! Looks like a fun time though. I can't wait to get back to Spain!

tapas to eat in the day is perfect just small snacks but still quite filling perfect in the hot sun Once the sun goes down then its dinner time around about 9.30 ish

The tapas looks good, though I think sampling it should ideally be spread over a weekend or a week, as it is where I live, a non-tourist, non-resort, largely Spanish/Catalan town. What qualifies as tapas varies hugely across Spain. The best, unquestionably I think, can be found in the Basque country, Bilbao and San Sebastian, though there are some close competitors, Cadiz, for example. Yes, I think it's ridiculous that some people coming to Spain don't try at least some of the local cusine, though what purports to be Spanish food isn't always of good quality, paellas for example, which vary from excellent to dire. But the Spanish themselves, especially the young, don't necessarily like Spanish food. Where I live, not a big town, we have a McDonald's (cringe), and various international restaurants: Italian, Chinese, Pakistani, Indian, Morrocan and Japanese, sushi from the latter very popular. They even sell it at Mercadona. (When travelling beyond Spain I always stick to the local cusine. You only live once. However, the thick slices of bread with lashings of lard i was once served in Zacopane, Tatras mountains, Poland were an effort.)

This year it was €2.50. Tapa plus drink (small beer, wine, or water) Each place puts on a different type of tapa and you have choice of two. Really good fun 🤩
