I used to go here every summer as a kid and into my early 20s (aunt had a house in a nearby town) from 1991 to 2005-ish. GlD to see it hasn’t changed much. Such a nice town. Ha, just finished watching the whole video and saw that you walked past Catalina. That and ‘Catalina 2’ have been there easily 25 years now. That was a blast from the past. We used to stay in Cabo Roig, but unfortunately it’s a bit of a dump now.

Hi, This area has a lot too offer. And is one of the healthiest places to live with the salt lakes the air quality is brilliant and has so many health benefits. The warmth and the Mediterranean diet also are great for healthy living. Of course a good glass of wine always helps 😉 🖤

I am happy to be able to live here. And just to add to the video, apart from the city and beach, there are many more things to do around the suburbs. Things like water parks, horse riding, go-carting, long walks around the two salt lakes, Habaneras Shopping Centre and much more.

I love sitting outside the cuban bar having a few beers in october when its still 25 degrees , i often walk the full length of the beach buy an ice cream soak up the sun , i,ll be back this september anyhow , something to look forward to

It is indeed a very relaxed city with smiling and positive people everywhere! You gonna love it here! I've been living here for 17 yrs. now and feel quite comfortable. It's an easy going place. Best regards from Torrevieja!

I live in nearby town close to Elche and Torrevieja is just a few kilometres away. I've come to the to town just a few times and find it boring and with nothing to offer. Seeing this video has make me want to go there again and enjoy as much as I can. Thank you for this video :)

Fantastic video! I have recently had spine surgery and looking to do some big changes in my life. So im looking into moving to Torrevieja by myself. And it really looks like a fantastic place to live. Hopefully I can find people to connect to also.

Hi Marisol, Yes, we do live here. Winter time here is lovely. The days are warm and sunny. It is generally quieter everywhere but the place doesn’t shut down like other touristy areas perhaps might. As for surf… I can’t really help there I’m afraid. There are surf shops/schools in the La Mata area though.

nice but too difficult to get to from the airport so i go to benidorm instead only 9 euros on the bus.

Could you please tell me where abouts at the marina all the good nightlife is? Any bars in particular you would recommend? 😊

We walked through Torrevieja last night and the whole of the Marina was bouncing. We recommend parking out of town and walking in as the roads were at a stand still on a Saturday night. Or even better getting a taxi in.

Im suprised that ppl love mi Town i mean like its the second worst town in spain

I'm sorry to spoil the brilliant picture being painted here. but you don't have to go more than 2 blocks away from the waterfront before it all falls apart. garbage, dog shit, and graffiti, empty buildings, garbage piles in nature, just to name a few, there is quite a lot of crime. and the thing about it being so healthy is not true, because there are 2 salt lakes that secrete something into the air, but all the dust in the air takes over completely. the city is ok, but far from a nice city to live in. the municipality has completely failed to maintain this city.

I can’t disagree with you on very much there. Places like Orihuela City are kept beautifully and not enough money is put back into these areas unfortunately. Although there is a huge development happening around the port area so perhaps times are changing.

Must be the only kids I’ve seen wearing idiot masks here in the last couple of months
