Ойындар

"TAP" : Tudor Advanced Play: This is a ruleset for electric football created by a team of experienced coaches designed for the beginner while challenging the best coaches in the world. Welcome to "TAP"! Check out www.tudorgames.com for the written ruleset under the HOW TO PLAY Section.
Ok, I'm so excited that I don't have to use the TTQB thing to pass! Show me how to pass in "TAP"!

I like this method! It makes sense that the defenders can pivot after the completion, but not while the ball is in the air. And I like that the number of pivots is unlimited after the completion, as well as allowing the defense one more pivot than the offense. I've never really liked the idea of passing sticks (and thus never checked it out), but this seems awesome to me.

In the olden days, I had a quarterback who actually threw a felt football and it had to hit the receiver for a completion.

Yup, and the slit in the felt football eventually widened with use, to the point that it was difficult to keep it on the quarterback's "hand".... or your thumb slipped off his "hand" before you had it fully cocked, causing it to fired off randomly. ;) Oh, and the tiny plastic tab that created tension for the kicker's foot wore down causing unpredictable action.

@@duanehumphrey7954 However, we made our own rules. If it came within 5 yards of the receiver it was a catch....it could be intercepted also. The old way of playing felt more interactive and required more skill.

I got an EF set for Christmas in 1977. Still the best Christmas gift I’ve ever received. My friends and I played it all the time though the mid 80. I have just discovered it again and plan on getting back into the hobby. I love the TAP rules, simplicity but smooth and organized. I love the passing sticks and wish it was around when I was a kid. That TTQB was so unpredictable. You could run a great play and be wide open, do the technique well, and the ball still go literally go anywhere in the room.

    When I was a kid in the 80’s, I rolled a dice. 1,2,3 was a completion. 4,5 incomplete. 6 was an interception. 😊

Invented a baseball game based on pair of dice as a 14-year-old kid in the late 1980s (had no life or friends). Anyway, it went something like this: roll each dice once, add up the points, and that would tell you the result of the at-bat. 2+3=5, ground out to short-stop. 6+5=11 double to left field. And so on. Had a play or result for every possibility. In order to keep it from being predictable I'd switch out result tables every 3rd inning or so. Put together a baseball field on poster board and used cardboard men on stands. Now, I have other things to do like working and paying bills.

We wrapped a thin layer of gum around a bb, then covered it with paper. You had to throw that from wherever the QB was without going over him. You hit ur guy it's a completed pass, the defense it's an int.

Do you have to bring your own electric football board? Or Will there already be one at the convention?

Coach this is presented VERY nice! BUT I gotta tell u man nothing beats real qb passing the ball. If ur patient I'll try long story short. I play fast n loose BUT VERY realistic. I let me n competition use ball on string method, passing sticks, n all different versions of qb. From Vicpro version which is tube or "bazooka" on qb shoulder to shoot ball out even the spring load which is jncredible. Homemade device used to throw "extra-heavy" felt/balloon type football at high arc so van make shoot out passes like a mortar or Canon for high long rainbow or arced balls for bombs of 35 yards or over n of course Toepro n such for bullet passes. And yes even this passing sticks n magnetic ball on base. In 3rd quarter I implement dice and live in game play meaning I allow wr's to b on the move while qb passes no stopping the board it is harder n awesome. The comes in for one quarter depending on the roll can determine if next time qb is hit n dropped is he hurt out of game n such...it is all real n fast. But qb real passes is so more realistic n fun than other passing devices. Just the best method. I play in paid for arrowhead stadium and MNF board. I have a Lambau Field where snow games r implemented so solitaire or vs competition either way is incredible. Anways we r all doing our thing n I love urs too just suggesting my way but love ur ways!
